How to Measure:
First, measure your foot in millimeters. Then find the corresponding size on the chart. If your size in millimeters matches exactly on the grid, order one size above
Example: If your foot is 262mm, the grid shows it matches up to a US Men's size 8.5 so you should get a US Men's size 9.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: 8.5

First off, this is a road shoe, but I've used these trail running, on mild, manicured trails, and they were just dandy.

It wasn't until I took these hiking that they became my best friend. I like to scramble and jump off ledges, but I don't so much because it hurts the next day. Well, with these shoes, it's so not a problem. Even with a heavy pack, high impact in these feels better than walking around the office in a normal street shoe. It's amazing. I can't even tell that I have joints, for the first 30 minutes of wearing them. Also, the descent is when I would always feel my knees complain. Not a peep this time, with the Hoka Conquests.

My last hike took me through a little snow and scampering up rock. The rubber was great, on both the rock and snow.

I also used them on the road, for running. These are their fastest, most responsive shoe, and they do make you feel like a gazelle. I am a minimalist, no-heel-strike runner and these aren't quite right for me, on the road. I feel pinching in my knees, when I'm on the road. So, the shoe must not be designs for that type of running style, or I'm just not getting my form right. Just too much cushion, maybe. Not sure.

For hiking and mild, trail running, though, they are a dream!!! They are very stable, as well. I had my hiking buddy wear them and she felt more stable in these, than in her mid-hiking boot. She liked the soles grip on the rock, better than the hiking boot, as well as the cushion on high impact jumps. She immediately bought a pair.

I did four stars on these because I've only had them for a few weeks. Also, I wish the toe box was wider, so I could splay out my toes, like in yoga, for even better balance. The bigger toe box, may solve my road issues with them and may be just what I need in order for them to work, running quickly on the road.

I'm a size 8.5 in street shoe, but usually go up to 9.0 in running shoes. The 9.0 are just right for me.

How would you rate this shoe NEW
Women's Hoka One One
Vanquish 2 in comparison to the Hoka One One Conquest 2 shoe which I think is a new item?

These two are pretty similar. The Conquest have less a heel rise, than the Vanquish 2. It has a 4mm drop, the Vanquish has a 5mm drop. So, this is the premium, fastest road shoe.

Also, the Conquest has the RMAT in them, which makes them springy, responsive, propulsive, snappy, what ever you want to call it! So, they are meant to be faster and help push you forward.

Thank you for your reply and can assume that the Hoka One One Vanquish 2 will also be both a great hiking and running shoe like the Conquest 2 shoe?

Also what does RMAT refer to?
