Made to run wherever you do.

Sometimes driving to the trail just to go for a run is more than you're up for, so slip into Hoka One One's Challenger ATR 2 Men's Running Shoe, cover the two miles to the trailhead, and proceed to hammer your favorite off-road runs with comfort and confidence. The Challenger's all-terrain rubber outsole is designed to provide great grip on pavement and pebbles alike, and the Meta-Rocker geometry encourages a natural and repeatable foot roll with every stride. Hoka's famed for serious cushioning, and the Challenger's 29mm heel stack doesn't disappoint, and neither does the oversize EVA midsole, which takes the sting out of sharp rocks and rugged trails, without slowing you down. The Challenger also has a 24mm forefoot height, giving it an efficient and comfortable five millimeter drop for the ultimate combination of comfort, cushion, and efficiency.

How to Measure:
First, measure your foot in millimeters. Then find the corresponding size on the chart. If your size in millimeters matches exactly on the grid, order one size above
Example: If your foot is 262mm, the grid shows it matches up to a US Men's size 8.5 so you should get a US Men's size 9.

Hubby's Review:
Really enjoy these shoes! Run trails and these shoes are one of the best trail shoes I have used! Really great traction, comfort, and stability throughout run! I would recommend these shoes to anyone who is a trail runner,

I have purchased at least eight pairs of Hoka's; Stinson ATR's, Bondi, Mafate and Challenger. My old Challengers having worn out I purchased a new pair recently. I had read a few reviews which commented on how Hoka had narrowed the box and I should have paid attention. Compared to the old Challenger the new one is a pure piece of crap. I love my Hoka's in other models but the Challenger has been ruined.

Perfect when injured or if you need some extra cushion when the legs/feet are sore.

this shoe is incredible cushion for days!
I have a very bad back and work in a warehouse.
I need great support for my back and this is were I find it.
very comfortable and light weight great look to them and not to pricey for the way they will make you feel.

I got my challengers about a month ago and am very pleased with the fit and performance. They fit much better than other Hoka's I've tried on, due to having a bigger toe box. And, I love the max cushioning (my first running shoe of this type). They feel great on pavement and excellent on the trail - especially over rocks and gravel.
The only reason these aren't receiving 5 stars is due to the traction. They're great on hardpacked dirt, but once the ground gets wet, they offer zero traction.

Long run comfort.

This is my second pair of the atr 2. I got well over 600 miles in my first pair. I previously wore the first version of this shoe which I loved. The new version comes with some changes including a padded tongue and a more durable construction. The fit is a bit tighter then the first version probably from the extra padding so I sized up a half size. If you liked the first version you will love this one as well.

Long run comfort.
