Velocity Competitive Cyclist Skinsuit - Men's

If you race against the clock, you know the benefits of a well-fitting, aerodynamic cycling kit. That is exactly why Competitive Cyclist joined forces with Hincapie to develop the new Velocity Competitive Cyclist Skinsuit. The form-fit skinsuit will have you shaving seconds off your 40kTT, while looking good in the graphics of your favorite bike shop.

The Velocity Skinsuit was constructed from Hincapie's AT2 Tour Lycra Power. These polyester and Lycra yarns are combined to provide a soft, comfortable fit that moves with your body while retaining durability and structure. The fabric weighs 225gsm, which, in layman's terms, means the weave is extremely compact. The back panel features a double layer of fabric to prevent show-through. In addition to the AT2 Tour Lycra Power, Hincapie used AT2 Transition Lycra panels on the skinsuit. These panels are lighter weight than the AT2 Tour Lycra and provide a flexible fit that helps the skinsuit conform to your body while you are in the riding position.

The legs of the shorts have been finished with ProGrip. This is a laser-cut band that has silicone grip incorporated into it. It holds your skinsuit tightly against your skin without binding or pinching.

The skinsuit features Hincapie's ProTour chamois. This has a 4-way stretch microfiber cover that moves with you to eliminate chafing, reduce friction, and absorb shock. The second layer is a perforated, double-density foam that helps dissipate heat and move moisture away from the body. This 3-dimensional padding is more densely padded in the ischial zones to support you as you ride. Softer padding is placed in the perineal areas, and the perimeter receives even thinner and softer padding so that the pad blends with the shorts. The pad itself is unseamed and it is attached to the shorts with flatlock stitching. A relief channel along the center line of the chamois aids in additional pressure relief for long days in the saddle.
