If you're a fan of the Spring Classics, you know that the cobbles of Belgium are only one of the many variables that plague your cycling heroes. Accordingly, if you ask anyone racing in Flanders what their biggest concern is on the road, you'll overwhelming hear 'the weather' in response -- and we're not just talking about the snow and rain. Sure, Belgium has both in spades. After all, we remember the torrential rain that virtually flooded out all but 24 riders in the 1985 Tour of Flanders. However, the overwhelming chill is what's most renowned, especially for a Vlaanderen veteran like George Hincapie. That's why Hincapie Sportswear created the powerful Ronde Vest. With a versatility that only a vest can provide, the Ronde Vest responds favorably to quick changes in less-than-friendly climates.

Made from the plush and stretchy BodE Thermal Heat fabric, the Ronde vest offers a powerful level of insulation. In fact, the selected fabric features the heaviest knit structure in the Hincapie lineup. However, the fabric still maintains a soft-to-the-touch feeling against the skin. This is complemented by the outer-layer's Lycra and nylon blended-makeup. Accordingly, the vest effectively wicks away moisture to keep you dry and at a consistent internal temperature.

For fit, the vest's four-way stretch assists in its conforming to your body shape. You'll notice that the Ronde actually fits and feels more like a summer-weight jersey than a vest. And, like in the summer, you might feel a touch of heat buildup. In that case, Hincapie supplied a full-length, two-way zipper along the front of the jersey. The vest comes equipped with three large pockets on the rear of the jersey to house all of your ride essentials. It also features reflective accents throughout the vest for a heightened sense of visibility in low-light conditions.
