Description

For absolute race dominance, no aerodynamic gear beats a Skin Suit. True, it's a bit of a commitment. But, once you're standing on top of that podium, you'll be thankful that you took the leap to the Hincapie Flow Tri skin Suit.

Hincapie constructed the Flow Tri Skin Suit from highly breathable RaceFlow fabric with a hydrophobic treatment. So, it glides through the water with hydrodynamic properties akin to the newest swim skins. It also dries very quickly when you get out, improving comfort post-T1. Additionally, ReactorMesh stretch mesh panels with Coldblack technology provide cooling airflow and actually reduce the temperature of the fabric by reflecting, rather than absorbing heat. With all of these other technological wonders taking place, it's easy to forget that the Flow Tri Skin Suit provides UV proetcetion with a rating of UPF 50+. That comes in handy when water rinses off your sunblock, leaving you vulnerable to the sun.

The Tri Skin Suit features a 3/4-length zipper in order to both ease entry and exit and to allow on-the-fly heat dumps. One lower back pocket provides food storage for long races.

The Flow Tri Skin Suit comes equipped with Hincapie's lightweight, anti-microbial Tri Chamois. The anatomically shaped chamois is made with a breathable open cell foam and an E.I.T. microfiber cover that pulls moisture away from your skin. The Tri Chamois also has perineal relief channels that take pressure off your perineal region and alleviate numbness.

The Flow's fit is compressive to provide more muscle support than most tri tops. Hincapie's ergonomic patterning hugs the body tightly to not only provide support, but also to reduce drag in the water or on the bike.

Hincapie Flow Tri Skin Suit available in six sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors White/ocean or Black/red.

Great Performance !!

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:True to size

welp, i own so much gear for everything i do (multisport, outdoor type) that it already takes a lot of time to research and buy let alone have free time to post reviews however, the performance this piece of equipment is so superb i have to make an exception.

I am 5'11"/1.81mts, 75Kg/165lbs so im slim/medium build and chose the Large size due to my chest and waist measurements and it fits perfectly. I took the first ocean swim today in 80F+ waters and it felt excellent. Super comfy and truly hydrophobic. It is my first tri-suit mainly because i wanted a bit more protection from elements like sun and jelly fish and i swear it almost felt like i was sliding through that water like whoah.

Hincapie is not a brand you see everywehre everyday. In fact, this is the only site i've seen it and it seems to be one of those rare brands that deserve more credit than they take. My GF bought one of those 2XU suits and that alone took double the time to dry hanging in the shade than mine.

I love hincapies white & blue color. I wish more suits were lighter colors like that instead of your typical mortuary BLACK. =)

Now the only non-important thing i wonder is the nature of this brand's name. Hincapie means something totally random and off-topic in Spanish. If you thought 2-Times-You (2XU) was revolted and wordy Hincapie goes beyond that !

:P

-P.S.-

Please note that i would usually be Medium size in most other brands. But for some reason Hincapie runs a little smaller than the rest, hence why i chose the Large and it fits right in!

Good review. Also, because you posed the question:
