Item # HIN001F

Fleece armor for your knees.

The Arenberg Forest has a special place in the heart of Hincapie Sportswear's namesake. Though he never won the race in which it features, his passion for it is unmatched, so you'd expect any gear that bears its name to reflect that. The Arenberg Zero Knee Warmers don't disappoint. In a race renowned for its brutal conditions, the Arenberg Zero is what you want on your knees.

For 2014, Hincapie has updated its old Arenberg line to Arenberg Zero. The name change owes to the addition of a new material on the knee and lower thigh, TourTek Zero X2, which combines an accommodating four-way stretch with fleece lining, water resistance, and full wind resistance. Your knees are one of the most vulnerable spots on your body during cold-weather rides, so this extra protection — which doesn't make an appearance in the corresponding arm warmers — will not go unappreciated. The warmers are lined with panels of BodE Thermal Heat, another four-way stretch fabric that's soft on your skin and is the most insulating material in Hincapie's arsenal. The flat seams ensure comfort while the dual-sided gripper at the top keeps them in place on your legs and under your shorts.

The Hincapie Sportswear Arenberg Zero Knee Warmers are available in five sizes ranging from X-Small to X-Large in the colors Black and White.

really warm and comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

this are well made and really warm. i picked up a lighter pair as well.

Well designed, but...

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

First pair of leg warmers I've used that have gripper material on the inside and outside of the warmer up top, so they stay put under your shorts around the thigh. Not a bad idea.

Only negative I saw is that they have gripper material at the bottom of the leg so if you want to pop them on or off mid-ride, plan on removing your shoes- they won't stretch around the shoe. Hence my 4 out of 5 stars...

Warm knees

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Never purchased anything from the Hincapie brand, but I might start. Good quality construction knee warmers for those cold morning rides. Not a bad price either right now. A size L fits me at 5'10" and longer legs than torso.
