Insurance for the next time you crash.

As cyclists, we're bound by the truth that sooner or later, we all crash. And when you do, the Hero Kit Crash Pack: Cycling First Aid Kit will be there to help you put yourself back together. It has bandages, it has salves, and it even has instructions -- probably best to read these ahead of time. But, the best part is that it's all packaged in a pocket sized bag. So, you won't be burdened with an unwieldy first aid kit. We don't recommend crashing, but if you must, it's best to be prepared.

Crashing is a drag, but it gets much worse if you're ill-prepared to deal with the aftermath. Not helping this, most first aid kits are bulky, which is why Hero Kit packages its first aid kit in a pocket-sized, resealable waterproof bag. After all, what good is a first aid kit if you don't have it with you? And despite its modest size, this pack has pretty much everything that you need to perform basic roadside first aid. Perhaps best of all, there's an instruction manual that will walk the uninitiated through the process of administering first aid. After all, not all of us are medical professionals. Additionally, having clear instructions makes administering first aid far simpler, especially for the squeamish among us.

Since you'll always want to ensure the safety of everyone involved, there's latex free exam gloves that protect against blood born pathogens. You'll also find packets of antibiotic ointment and Lidocaine burn gel, as well as two tablets of Diphenhydramine (an antihistamine). So, you'll be prepared, whether you're dealing with insect bites or road rash. And since you'll need to clean the affected area, Hero Kit included a gauze pad and a 10cc irrigation syringe. In case the syringe seems scary, don't worry, it's a major upgrade from the tried-and-true scrubbing method for cleaning wounds. Once you've taken care of the hard part, you'll have two adhesive bandages, three butterfly closures, a 3x2 inch non-stick adhesive bandage, and a large dressing. This adds up to the ability to safely handle a wide range of minor injuries. So, you're able to consider the ibuprofen a bonus for toughing it out.
