HED Corsair E Aerobar $900.00
Whether you're splintering the wood at the velodrome or doing the long haul in a triathlon, the HED Corsair E will deliver an unparalleled advantage against the clock. Featuring a rigid, lightweight carbon fiber layup and an advanced aerodynamic shape, the Corsair E is HED's most comprehensive TT bar to date. The Corsair E is suited for multiple disciplines of cycling, and with its near-infinitely adjustable aerobars, you can dial in your position for the most comfortable wind-cutting ride of your life.
The HED Corsair E is the lightest and stiffest HED full-aerobar in production. Its low weight (less than 540g, including integrated brake levers) and higher rigidity make it easier for you to sustain speed over longer periods of time. To create the unique shapes of the flat base and aerobar, HED drew on its 25+ years of wind-tunnel research; the Corsair E's refined shape and rigidity is the result of all this work in this controlled environment. The carbon-fiber layup was meticulously adjusted and improved throughout the process to maximize rigidity while still maintaining the new aero shape. HED also engineered the Corsair E with user comfort mind; the clamp-on aerobars are capable of a wide array of lateral and angular adjustments to maximize comfort and aerodynamics as your position changes throughout season. In fact, the armrest design tolerates a super-wide 200mm width. The base bar includes ergonomic hand positions and is also compatible with Shimano Di2 shift/brake levers. The base bar is highly aerodynamic, and internal cable routing accentuates the Corsair's streamlined design. The Corsair E is designed to be a non-integrated bar that allows you to use your preferred stem, stem length, and degree of rise.
The HED Corsair E is available in a 42mm width, and with three extension options: J-Bend, L-Bend, and S-Bend. The Corsair is only compatible with 31.8mm clamp diameter stems, and is compatible with Shimano Di2 shift/brake levers. The Corsair E is being offered in the flat-design, and is compliant with the UCI 3:1 aspect ratio rule. Please note that the HED Corsair E has very specific torque specifications.
