Soy Gmo Free

You're probably already aware that you need lots more protein than the average couch surfer. And you know all about whey protein, such as Hammer's Whey Protein, but perhaps know less about Hammer Soy GMO Free Protein. Do you know when to use one and not the other? Here's the skinny: Soy protein works especially well as a protein supplement at any time, and it's less likely to cause discomfort when used for protein refuelling during a long endurance event (two hours-plus). Unlike Hammer's Whey Protein, it doesn't contain glutamine, which can cause muscle soreness, and is, in general, more difficult to assimilate during cardiovascular exercise.

The "but" in this equation is twofold. Some athletes are fine digesting whey protein during long exercise and also, no matter what, soy protein is a less readily absorbed protein at all times. So especially for after riding, when the glutamine is less likely to cause soreness in inactive muscles, Hammer recommends using whey protein to refuel, since it's just more "bioavailable" than soy, meaning your muscles will heal faster.

Also worthy of note is that Hammer Soy is not derived from genetically modified crops, which is important because while studies have shown that a diet rich in soy protein is particularly helpful in avoiding many cancers, a diet rich in genetically modified food is less well understood.

Hammer Soy GMO Free Protein should be used as a dietary supplement to add animal-free protein to your diet and as long-ride protein where whey protein may be less well assimilated. Hammer Soy GMO Free Protein is available in Vanilla and comes in a resealable 24 serving package.
