Ride where you want.

If we're to understand the GT Sensor Comp Complete Mountain Bike's frame and components according to GT's Centered on Rider (COR) Trail Philosophy, then this is a trail-oriented bike that's centered on a rider whose needs include climbing, descending, cross-country rocketing — in short, a biker who rides on mountains. The Sensor Comp doesn't dictate where you can or should ride, it lets you choose for yourself on every ride, every day.

The Sensor's 6069 hydroformed aluminum frame rings the familiar refrain of lightweight durability that continues to see this material and manufacturing process at the head of the industry. When the stiff efficiency of aluminum meets the Sensor's 68.5-degree head tube angle and 44.6-inch wheelbase (size medium), it produces a full suspension build that doesn’t compromise on climbing, technical handling, or terrain-tackling confidence.

The suspension is made of two pieces that showcase shock manufacturer X-Fusion's continuing development as a high-quality brand. The 02 RL rear air shock has been updated with a lower compression ratio for a more linear compression over its five inches of travel and a smarter rebound for responsiveness over small bumps. The X-Fusion Streat RL puts 130 millimeters of travel under your bar, a tapered alloy steerer that combines with the frame's tapered head tube for added oompf on the climbs, and lockout and rebound adjust to respond to changing terrain conditions.

The drivetrain maintains the Sensor Comp's focus on reliability and price, with SRAM X5 trigger shifters and derailleurs to shepherd the KMC X10 chain across the SRAM PG1020 cassette. FSA, the perennial innovators in all things related to the bottom bracket of a bike, provide more than enough gearing options with the Gamma Drive MegaExo MTB Triple. The Alex DP21 rims are tubeless-ready, and the 180 millimeter rotors on Shimano's hydraulic brakes will temper their speed. GT provides its own grips, the tires are WTB BeeLine 2.2s, and All Terra rounds out the rest of the kit's ancillary components.

The GT Sensor Comp Complete Mountain Bike is available in four sizes ranging from Small to X-Large in the color Grey/white.
