You could spend more cash on a similar race-ready jersey, but the Gore Bike Wear Xenon 2.0 Short-Sleeve Jersey makes a strong case for frugality by offering uncompromising value. The Xenon 2.0 Short-Sleeve Jersey comes in a tight, aerodynamic fit so that you lose a minimal amount of watts to the wind, and its high-functioning blend of nylon, elastane, and polyester keeps you dry.

Few things make you more uncomfortable on the bike than lingering perspiration, so the Xenon 2.0 has mesh inserts under the arms, in back, and at the nape. A full-length zip gives you complete temperature control, and the semi-locking design ensures that the zipper will stay exactly where you want it. The elastic gripper on the lower hem ensures that the jersey won't ride up while you're in an aerodynamic position. Stash your essential cargo in the three-compartment back pocket that tapers on the sides for easier access. An additional zip pocket provides a secure place for your valuables. The Xenon 2.0 provides visibility from all angles, with a reflective front logo, reflective print on the sides, and reflective piping on the back.

The Gore Bike Wear Xenon 2.0 Short-Sleeve Jersey comes in sizes Small through XX-Large. It's available in four color options: Pool Blue/white, Red/black, White/black, and Black.

  • Stretchy fabric and a slim, ergonomic design ensure a tight, aerodynamic fit
  • Mesh inserts under arms and at the back and nape of neck offer excellent ventilation on warm-weather rides
  • Three-part back pocket features tapered design on the sides for easy access
  • Zip pocket in back secures your phone
  • Full-length zipper includes semi-lock and zipper garage for convenience and comfort
  • Reflective details on front, back, and sleeves ensure that you will stand out in low light

Great for super hot days

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my go to when the weather gets really hot. Breaths very well and drys insanely fast. A great piece.

fits slim but not as slim as, say, castelli. The jersey is long which I appreciate at 6'3"

too much pucker

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The front length of this jersey is several inches too long for riding position (at least for me) and it results in terrible zipper pucker - end up having to fold about 4" under. Otherwise jersey is great, nice and cool in hot weather - even in black. 5'10, 39" chest, medium fits is nice and slim - too bad about the front length.

Responded on

I'm 6'4", hard to find jerseys with a little more front length. Love that this has some, but really not that much more IMO.
This is the best fitting jersey I've found for me (6'4", 215, like the slim fit - just right).

Great Jersey

This is a great jersey, that is meant to fit tight. I'm 6 ft, 170 lbs, with a 39 inch chest and I wear a medium comfortably. I originally ordered a large due to other reviews I found about Gore sizing, but I switched to a medium, which is what I wear in most other jerseys. I love the light, breathable feel of the fabric and fit, and wear this jersey mostly in 80+ degree weather (I live in Hawaii). I particularly like the full zip, and the partial rubber gripper on the bottom rear of the jersey. All this being said, I would not pay $110 for this jersey, since it can be found online in the $55-$70 price range.

subtle improvements

I have the older Xenon jersey, and the new 2.0 offers a welcome round of improvements without compromising on the foundation of the kit: its superlative fit and air-channeling capabilities. Gone is the see-through mesh around the stomach, with more strategically (and modestly) placed ventilation around the shoulders and underarms. The jersey itself is constructed of a much lighter weight and better ventilated fabric, negating the need for overt ventilation panels. Gore also went with a full-length, locking zipper for quick and generous access to cooler air. There's nothing about the Xenon 2.0 kit to not like - and it's quickly becoming a renewed favorite in my rotation.

* I've always been a Medium with Gore, and the Xenon fits just as slim as expected
