You layer your core to stay dry and warm, so why not your hands? The Gore Bike Wear Tool SO Gloves' multi-layer design will have you piling on the base miles, no matter what the weather.
One of Gore's warmest full-fingered offerings, the Tool gloves rely on Gore's Windstopper Soft Shell to form the outermost layer of protection for your hands on cold rides. You'll have the benefit of a completely windproof design, and honestly, a good degree of water-resistance as well. In other words, splashing through puddles or intermittent drizzle will be no problem.
The Tool gloves were given a fleece lining that augments the windproof material in order to create a microclimate around your digits. In turn, this shields them from the icy blasts of winter. This thin layer of air is also warmed by the heat of your hands, which creates an additional insulation barrier against heat exchange.
Silicon-coated fingers maximize your dexterity and provide a secure interface with shifters, brakes, and handlebars. The palms have padding to cushion road vibration, and the web between the thumb and forefinger has also been reinforced to add durability. One detail that's often overlooked is the location of the closure tab. Accordingly, Gore placed it so that it closes under the wrist. This is a benefit that you'll appreciate when your nose starts running and there's nothing scratchy to maim your face as you wipe.
The Gore Tool Gloves are available in Black/black, Black/castle grey, and Red/black and in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large.
