No problems...Go for a ride!

Wow, these pants fit so well and feel so comfortable on me I can't believe it. They reach all the way down to my ankles and keep me warm without any dang cold air leakage. Gotta love that!! Even without booties, I was very comfortable riding into cold damp wind this morning. The fit is excellent and doesn't feel like you are being choked or poured into a tight that restricts your overall movement. I love these! I can get off the bike and walk without feeling stiff or getting twisted up! They are a nice comfortable fit and as some have asked, this model does NOT have a chamois. For a long ride or a stiff seat, that could be a problem to worry about. Since I ride horses as well, I tend to have a tougher buttocks than many cyclists alone. However, even I would like to have a chamois if was riding longer than say five hours! Unless yo really need/want a chamois, I think this pair of Lady Tights will be a favorite in your bike bag!

Does this have a chamois? The specs say yes but the reviewer says no. There is another gore pair that says w/ chamois in the title. Help!

We make the Sportive Tight in 2 versions: with and without chamois... The price on this one is for the non-chamois tight, so I'm guessing no chamois on this one. The other one listed "with chamois" has the proper price ($149) for that tight, so if you want the chamois, check out the "Sportive w/Cham". Sorry for the confusion!

Thanks, Dave. You are absolutely correct. The lower back protection is definitely something to brag about and should make it into your product descriptions.I ordered a pair of the Sportives but had to return them as they were a bit on the narrow side, (or perhaps I am a bit on the wide side) particularly the sizing of the panels that extend up the front of the quad. The Gore sections in the Sportive don't seem to have a lot of stretch. I considered buying a size larger but meanwhile found a deal on the Gore Vista pad-less tights and love them. They seem less narrow, with an effective stretchy section. Regardless, I am a HUGE fan of Gore bike-wear, especially the chamois. I have tried bike shorts in everything from Pearl Izumi to Louis Garneau, Descente, Castelli, Craft, etc., etc. Congrats on a choice chamois (espec. the pink chamois in the Xenon short!!! Let me know if you need any beta-testers!

Do these tights have any wind or water protection on the seat or back of legs? For biking it is essential to have something there where the water/mud/dirt kicks up off the back wheel. It is needed to protect your body from cold and wet and protect the tights from early wear and tear...

The crotch and the lower back are protected by a WINDSTOPPER(r) material which acts as a splash guard for tirespray.Dave GORE BIKE WEAR

Keep those pistons toasty

Great pair of pants. I live in the mountains of Colorado, so staying warm is key while descending. I have been winter riding for the last 4 years, using the Gore Bike Wear bibs. I bought the pair of tights without the chamois, so I can wear a pair of bib shorts with an excellent chamois and have a base layer to keep my quads warmer. The beauty about the tights without a chamois is that you can use them for skate skiing and running. The fit is perfect.
