Transoform your summer shoes into all season shoes.

Cycling shoes are specifically designed with ventilation as a top priority to keep your feet cool and comfortable during summer months. Once the days get shorter and cooler, however, that excellent ventilation is no longer an advantage, but a disadvantage. The Gore Bike Wear Road OverShoes easily fit over cycling shoes to offer a layer of waterproof protection and warmth for cooler seasons.

Gore has made a name through its innovative weather-proof laminates, like the Gore-Tex stretch inserts used on the OverShoe. These allow the RoadShoe to snugly fit over cycling shoes and avoid annoying flapping when pushing through a headwind. It also ensures your feet stay warm, and, most importantly, dry if you happen to run into a storm.

Along the sole, an abrasion-resistant material is added around the cleat cut-out to prevent premature failure, and a cut-out at the heel ensures sure-footed walking. At the ankle, a neoprene cuff and hook-and-loop closure offers a weather-proof seal. Intended for low-light conditions, the Road OverShoes comes with reflective logos and piping along the rear zipper.

The Gore Bike Wear Road OverShoes comes in five sizes, and one color; Black.

Size runs small

  • Fit:Runs small

I bought these for bike commuting, and I am a size 10 but the 9-10.5 size was much too small to fit over regular shoes. Returned and got the 11-13 size and they fit well, but still a bit tight. The size issue may not be an issue if you're using cycling shoes. Otherwise they are great!

Non bulky shields for your feet.

Easy on/easy off. If your feet are the type to get COLD, then you might want something tighter and more insulated, but for keeping the wind and water/slush out, you can't beat these. The insulated shoe covers usually are really tight and don't handle road spray very well.

A big plus is they work well for both road and mtb shoes. AND - since they're so easy to take on and off, they're great when you return from a ride with inoperable hands. Dry feet = warm feet to me, and since they don't take 15minutes to put on, they're my favorite.

Dry and Warm

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I can ride in some pretty wet weather without water getting in. I have some dedicated winter cycling shoes, but I'll still pull these on when the rain is really coming down. The are easy to put on. I would caution against walking too much with these shoe covers. The bottoms had taken a beating just walking in and out of the office. The fit is loose and they are easy to put on.
