Since you spend the majority of your biking time in the cycling position, it only makes sense that GORE Bike Wear designed the Oxygen Bib Tight Short specifically with that pose in mind. The eight-panel cut uses inserts that follow your body for more comfort and less bulk, and a mesh insert in back increases breathability. The Oxygen seat pad’s antibacterial top, perineal central channel, and gel-foam ischial cushioning absorb shock and fight off odor down under.
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure from the center of your back to your wrist with arms held out.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

I have been using them for a good month, 500 mi of XCM on them, been several times in the washing machine, and they are exactly as good as described on the web. nice colors, comfortables, good quality pad, fabric and elastic are perfect. I expected them to be a bit shorter on the legs, but the rest of the fit is great. maybe my legs are too short!!!!
I believe these are the Ozon bibs (per label and othe web sites). Initial impressions - The fabric is really nice on on these, and they look good. but how do they perform. I previously used mainly Castelli bibs with Proghetto x2 pad, and didn't think anything could ever be as good! One 4 hour ride in these, and they became my favorite shorts instantly (until I wore my Zero RH+ Zeekay bibs 2 weeks later - refer to review) I am pretty use to the fit of the Castelli/ Euro/ italian fit, and generally wear a large. Medium was in order here, and the fit was fairly good. Almost wanted a small. (165lbs, 5'11" with fairly large quads).
Hi Mary, The same holds true for me, I wear a XL in all other brands (Giordana, Assos), but find I need to order a XXL in Gore, and in some of the L.G. It mostly seems to be a issue with room for bust/hips, for me anyway. Just thought I'd give you some female feedback. Hope this still helps!
I got Ozon I's in 08, having sustained burning abrasions with PI after 30 miles, that required me getting out of the saddle more than I wanted to.
Wow! I stocked up on several pairs, most on autumn sale. They're worth the full price, because I've paid that too, (as infrequently as possible).
You can ride all day, sitting heavy in the saddle, comfy, and the chamois pad holds up with numerous washings for multiple thousand miles. The Elastic Interface Technology pad (symbol <>") is made by Cytech, an Italian company that Assos has an ownership stake it and does design work for. The best shorts from many manufactures either use Cytech Elastic Interface Technology pads, or pay Assos for patent-use licenses to make their own EIT copycat pads, or use out-of-patent Cytech/Assos technology.
I also love a couple Assos FI.S5 Milles, their pads are a less prone to hang up on your saddle nose after climbing out-of-saddle, or starting from a dead stop, and slipping back onto your saddle without "artifically" raising your bum to make sure you clear the nose. That's the only advantage to Assos long-distance bibs over Ozons, not insignificant, it is noticeable, like if you ride Milles then switch over to Ozons, and you try a "low profile slide" to reseat yourself, you will notice, "My pad is grabbing my saddle nose!". For long, in-the-saddle comfort, Ozons are on-par with Milles. They are both uber-durable all day riding, numerous machine-wash, comfy bibs.
Yea, XENON is outstanding, as good as Assos, and a close runner up to Giordana. They just need to work on the contour of the chamois a little more (in the women's shorts/bibs at least). Have put many miles on in comfort with this line-up (Xenon jersey, shorts & jacket) with no problems. Overall, excellent!
I've put about 600 miles in these shorts and I'm still in love with them. In fact this last week I did a 200+ mile race and they were a pleasure to ride in. They fit perfectly without bunching like other shorts tend to do. Their breathabillity and comfort are the areas these shine the most. FYI I'm 6'1" and 190 lbs. The large fits just right.
First thing I noticed was the very high quality construction. The second thing was the comfort level of both the chamois and the shoulder straps. I don't even feel these things when I'm riding. I usually do 40 - 50 km rides during the week and up to 70kms on the weekends. Extremely comfortable bibs and well worth the money. I'm 5'10" with large thighs, a 34" waist and a 32" inseam - the large size fit me perfectly.
Got a pair of these bibs and I love them. Size up though. I wear Large in Pearl Izumi and an XL in these fits great. The fabric is luxurious. The straps don't chafe my tender parts. The chamois disappears yet does the job. Already ordered a second pair.
I went from $40 shorts from Dick's to these awesome bib shorts from Gore. Comfort, durability, and construction are awesome. Extended trips on the bike are a breeze in these shorts, you wont be disappointed. I found the Gore sizing chart very accurate and like the fit very much.
Bought these based on the Gore web page description - long rides. I've worn them on a 65, 70, and 100 miles rides and they are the best cycling apparel I own. I originally bought based on the Gore sizing chart but returned them for the next smaller size. They do tend to ride up your crack while standing or walking but they feel great sitting the saddle. Well worth the extra money compared to standard shorts or my $100 bibs.
