Description

Give yourself some Oxygen.

Sometimes, our big-mileage rides are also our most relaxed, and we don't always want to hassle with bib shorts on an all-day adventure. Gore recognized that and created the Oxygen Shorts just for people like us. Boasting the great material and insert used in other top end Gore bibs, the Oxygen Shorts will keep you comfy and covered while the miles stretch out behind you.

The Oxygen Shorts are made for long distance riders, though they will be equally comfortable for anyone who enjoys an evening ride after work or a four hour jaunt on the weekend. Well-made compression fabrics will improve the fit without limiting movement or comfort. Most importantly, they promote blood flow through the most heavily used areas of the body, increasing oxygen flow and reducing fatigue. The compression material used for the Oxygen Shorts will hug you without feeling constrictive. Gore has also been thoughtful enough to include abrasion resistant material at the inside of the leg and around the saddle area, since the last thing you want is a pair of shorts this good wearing out prematurely. The 10 inch (25cm) inseam length will leave you with a very PRO looking tan line. The elastic gripper at the leg hems will hold the legs in place so there will be no slippage or bunching of the material. Reflective logos on the side and piping at the back of the legs will keep you visible to drivers even on those days you stay out a little past dark. And for those of you who like to have keys or ID as close and safe as possible, Gore has included a zip pocket on the back of the shorts.

Gore has taken care in designing the Ozon Man Insert. They like to call it their multi-tasker since it is developed for the long distance riders, but will be just as comfortable for those of us who enjoy taking cool-down rides with our kids. The high-density, perforated foam has been strategically placed in the pad to offer the greatest possible protection from discomfort and numbness. Gel inserts have been included for those areas that receive the greatest amount of pressure throughout a ride. The ventilation and breathability of the pad will help prevent any excess moisture build-up. The ergonomic shape and stretch make this pad a perfect choice for short or long distances, and road or mountain bike riding.

The Gore Oxygen Shorts are available in Black and Black/White. The sizes range from Small through XX-Large.

Plain and Great

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

As everything Gore goes, these fit great and are good for endurance rides. I'm a 30 and went with a small. They're a little snug, but I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be.

Great shorts

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

As far as riding shorts go, these are some of the best I have found. The padding does what it is supposed to and keeps you comfortable on any distance of ride. They fit really well and I haven't had any issues with them not staying up where they belong.

I am a skinny bike dude - 32-inch waist, skinny legs. Should I get size medium or large??

Responded on

I have found that Gore, like most other bike wear, runs smallish; even though the chart shows you to be a Medium, I think you may be better in a L. Personal preference, but you have to breathe, too! Tough call. Maybe you can even ask a rep. on the Gore website for their advice.

Great Shorts

These shorts took me through two double century rides with no problems.
