Description

Cycling tights for those cold, windy autumn days.

Don’t let a little brisk, blustery weather stop you from cycling. The GORE Bike Wear Men’s Oxygen SO Bib Tights encase your legs in form-fitting, wind-blocking material so your muscles stay warm. A mesh panel on the bibs lets your back breathe, and elastic foot straps ensure full ankle-to-waist coverage and no cuff ride-up. GORE Bike Wear added a front zipper for easy on and off and an EIT (elastic interface technology) chamois for comfort during long rides.

Tight but warm

These tights might not be made for sub-arctic temperatures, but they sure got me through 25 degrees, high wind, and hail. They kept me warm, felt virtually no wind, and didn't build up sweat! They are kind of expensive but at least you get what you pay for.

The pad is pretty comfortable for mountain bike rides in the 60 mile range over really rough terrain (AZ mountain ranges). They hold up great and will definitely buy another set in the future when they finally give up the ghost.

The contest version of these are also very good but the pad is not meant for the longer distances!

Great Quality, but the fit....

....is more for long, skinnier legs. The "XL" was too tight, the "XXL" too baggy around the hips. Too bad, they weren't for me.

Responded on

Would you recommend these for someone who normally requires a tall? I have a 34 inch waste, but a 34 inch inseam, and all other tights are too short. (I imagine the stirrups might keep everything in place.)

Responded on

I'm really happy with mine. The sizing chart was accurate, and the fit is good. Long rides in the saddle are comfortable, in fact these tights are more comfortable than most of my high-end shorts. I think the stirrups actually contribute to that by preventing "bunching" of material in the crotch area. I am 6'2" with a 35" inseam, so the stirrups work well for me. Insulating and wind resistance seems more than adequate for me, actually not wearing my booties so that I can use my feet as little radiators to keep my body cool. While they are relatively expensive at $199, I think they're a good value. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great Quality

Didn't fit right, the "XL" comes a bit small, the "XXL" too big (therefore only 4/5 stars). But that's just me. For the right person this would be high quality functional high-end tights.
