Impervious to nearly any chilly weather.

One of the most versatile pieces in the company's extremely diverse range, The Gore Bike Wear Oxygen Windstopper Men's Soft Shell Bib Tights have been redesigned for this season with familiar materials but with new colors, cuts, and features.

Known for its enormous array of cutting-edge fabrics, Gore's finest materials are on display in the Oxygen tights. The Windstopper Soft Shell material used in the paneling is well-proven to dismiss any threat of wind or rain, while still being breathable enough to keep you from soaking, and then freezing, from the inside out. It's amazing stuff. Inside, a soft-brushed fleece makes the interior particular cozy. All seams are flat-locked for added durability and weatherproofing, and the waist is high-cut for extra warmth, along with a partial-length zipper to allow some extra ventilation when necessary. Inside, the triple-density Oxygen Man EIT chamois comes courtesy of Cy Tech, one of the world's foremost chamois designers, ensuring moisture evaporation, proper circulation, and above all, support and comfort for your 4+ hour rides. Finally, reflective logos and piping keep you visible to traffic after the sun goes down.

The Gore Bike Wear Oxygen Windstopper Men's Soft Shell Bib Tights are available in five sizes, from Small, to XX-Large, and in the colors Black and Black/Neon Yellow.

Wow

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

This is my first year doing some serious winter bike riding. So I decided to go all out on Wind Stopper Gore bike Wear. I bought the XXL Oxygen Soft Shell Jacket, the XL Oxygen Soft Shell Bibs, the road Over Shoes, thermo gloves, A Castelli WS Balaclava, with Castelli Venti wool socks. Well let me tell you. Its was 12 degrees outside here in North Massapequa, NY but after my 11 mile ride, I was still nice and toasty with just an Under Armour under my jacket and a set of leggings. Had to wear a set of goggle because my eyes tear with the slightest bit of cold wind. My wife said I was crazy, but I wanted to test this stuff out in the worst temperature I have ever ridden. I love the cold and this proved to be the best investment I have ever bought in bike gear. I certainly can say, I love it..

Windproof and Awesome Bibs

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

The wind shall not pass, at all. Perfect for cold weather, but not too hot by themselves if you want to wear them in slightly warmer temps.

Fantastic

  • Gender:Male
  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have the entire Gore Bike wear wind stopper outfit Oxygen Bibs, Jacket, Gloves and shoe covers. I went riding the first time last week at 37 degrees and you would never know it was cold out. I can't say enough about Gore Bike wear except, why doesn't every rider have this stuff. I will always be a repeat buyer. I live on Long Island, 40 miles east of NY city and all my regular routes still had snow on them. So I needed the high visibility gear. I used another wind stopper balaclava and goggles because my eyes tear so much. I can't wait till the temperature hits the 20's.

How does this compare to the xenon? Is that one more insulated than the oxygen? I have the xenon and ride in it from 20~45degF; start to get too warm at 45 if it is sunny. What is the temp range that people have used this in and been ok? If these are for slightly warmer, say 30~50, that would be perfect for me.

Winter Biking

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I use this for biking in temperatures in the 30's to mid 40's. They are great -comfortable padding and wind proof. They have the typical european cycling fit, so I go up a size from what I would normally wear. Gore Bike Wear makes a great product and this is on par with their other products I have tried. They extend the biking season for those of us living in the NE.

Awesome bibs!

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

Bought these early spring/late winter and have used them several times. They are comfortable and offer great protection from wind and light rain. I am typically not an all-weather rider but training for the DK 200 this year put me out in inclement weather more than once. I would recommend them to anyone who plans on riding when it is in the mid-40's or light rain.

Awesome!

This is my first pair of cold weather long bib tights and I feel like I made a spectacular choice. Used them this morning for the first time riding gravel roads in south central Kansas. Starting out the temps were in the low 40's with an expected increase into the 50's. The bibs kept me warm for the entire ride and I never felt like I was over heating. The quality seems great and the windstopper technology did its job. The chamois seems to be top quality as well (a very important part). A few other people have indicated that they run large. I am 6'0" at about 180 with a 34" inseam and consider myself a runner who rides a bike from time-to-time, meaning I am not bulging in the middle like some cyclist, with that said the length of the tights are spot on. I am sure they have some "extra" room in them but they are not suffocating/squeezing me either. bottom line- I'm impressed and very happy with my purchase.

Runs Very Small

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it

I'm 5'7", 128', 29" waist, and normally run XS to S. I bought a small, and it's too small. Returned without wearing, regretfully.

Warm1

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These tights are warm and toasty- Fit is right on (I'm 5'10" - 185 and got medium), and they are good looking.

Gore makes great stuff and these are no exceptions

Wind Proof and Very Warm

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:Runs large

I commute 20Km daily on my road bike in Scandinavia (+20C Summer/-10C Winter), so in the winter months the right outfit is paramount.

Pros: Wind proof and to an extent rain proof, it will keep the wind out even if wet. Only one piece, so quick to take on and off.

Cons: The garment is "loose" fitting due to the gore-tex material, so when standing up it looks to be too large, however when biking it fits great. The fit and material necessitates some sort of base layer if the temp is below 0C, the material itself is not very thick.

It is great for when the weather is cold, but can get very warm if not.
