It's difficult to imagine any ride that isn't bettered by a top-tier chamois. Lucky for you, Gore Bike Wear thinks the same way, and accordingly, it developed its new Inner Tight Pro Plus Shorts.

This pair of liner shorts features a microfiber construction that's a result of Gore's proprietary blend of nylon and elastane. Essentially, the elastane is incorporated for its flexibility and stretch, allowing you a complete freedom of movement. Meanwhile, the nylon was selected for its ability to wick moisture away from the skin, and for its incredibly fast dry-time.

As for the chamois itself, Gore included its Power Man insert. This chamois is referred to by Gore as its 'workhorse' insert. Why? Because it was specifically developed for medium- to long- distance rides. It features a seamless finished surfaced, and high level of elasticity. In other words, the chamois has been designed to move with your body, not against it. Accordingly, this greatly reduces the risk of chafing. Furthering this concept, Gore also ensured that the insert was an effective moisture manager, and that the surface of the chamois wicks away moisture quickly.

Furthering this level of comfort, Gore constructed the entire liner short with flatlock seams. Additionally, the waistband is made from a stretchable, supple elastic. And for attachment with your outer shorts or pants, Gore even included connection loops along the waist.

The Gore Bike Wear Inner Tight Pro Plus Shorts are available in the color Black/red and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large.

Unanswered Question

Is this the same liner that is included with the Gore Fusion 2.0 riding shorts?

Just as good as Troy Lee Ace liner

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs small

At an appealing price tag, these liners are way better than I would have thought. I've done a couple mtb rides with them and even a 50 km ride and they stay comfy and in place. My Troy Lee liners are size 36 and I wear usually wear 36 but chose sixe XL for the Gore liners because of a previous purchase from Gore (thermal ws knickers size L which were too small). I'll probably buy a 2nd pair soon!

Solid liner

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

This liner is perfect to wear under any type of bike shorts or knickers for compression and a chamois. They are nice and snug with thinner material on the sides to maintain ventilation. Chamois is as good as any I have used historically.

Is this a true bike short or does the term inner refer to something to be worn under a "normal" street short while riding?
