When you ride hard, you want to know that your gear can ride as hard as you do without compromising fit, durability, or style. While a pair of men's shorts takes on the rigors of the trail, the fit rarely comes close to what a woman needs. Gore Bike Wear's Women's Fusion shorts take all the elements of men's performance gear to create a pair of robust mountain biking shorts that offers both maximum protection and a women-specific fit while you ride. Receiving nods from both Cycling Plus Magazine and What Mountain Bike for 'Editors' Choice' awards, these shorts bring their A-game to the trail.

Made to correspond with the contours of a woman's body, the shifted seams on the Fusion shorts provide a more comfortable ride with less chafing. An elastic, width-adjustable waistband with a hook-and-loop closure helps maintain the fit you need as you grace the single track or your local post-ride hangout.

Ventilation inserts on the front inside-leg house an adjustable zipper to keep your legs from overheating during long climbs. The rugged fabric construction keeps you protected in the event of a wipe out. Two side, zip-closure pockets and a zip pocket on the back waist keep your keys, cellphone, and nutrition safely stowed away. These shorts do not come with a chamois insert but can be easily paired with your favorite Lycra shorts for added protection and comfort.

The Gore Bike Wear come in Black and Earth Beige/black. Sizes run X-Small to XX-Large.

  • Mesh-lined zip vents in the front expel excess heat
  • Comfortable part-elastic waistband can be adjusted for a custom fit
  • Two side pockets and a back zip pocket stash small essentials

high rise

These shorts have a very high rise (crotch to waist length). Aside from being uncomfortable for any kind of bottoms, It's especially annoying when you are bent over on a bike. I liked the fabric, nice and light, with a nice stretch to it. And I was willing to forgive the awkward looking color blocking to have a lighter color pair of shorts (tan and black vs all black for riding in the hot desert sun). I wear a women's 14 to 16 depending on the brand and while I could technically wear the XXL, it was not cut very well for riding a bike unless you really like pulling your waist band up to your ribs. A touch wider in the thighs would have been nice as well.
