Description

And that is how nice is won.

The Gore Bike Wear Countdown Insulated Jacket is nice—really nice. You don't get nice just because, no, you have to earn it. The Countdown Jacket features PrimaLoft Infinity insulation, backed by GORE Windstopper fabric for the ultimate in warmth & wind protection. Pre-shaped elbows and an adjustable hem eliminate bunching when leaned over in the drops, while the long back prevents the annoying 'muddy-butt.' The Countdown's zippers feature easy-to-handle zip-tags so fumbling at 25mph is no longer a hazard, while the zipper port on the collar keeps the whole package smooth and sleek. And, if you still have doubts just wear the Countdown on the coldest days, the fleece-lined high-collar might make you a believer in 'nice.'

  • Reflective hits on front, back, and sleeve inserts put safety on your side at dusk
  • Wear-resistant elastic binding system on sleeve hem prevents unwanted movement
  • Fleece-lined cuffs for added warmth in cold weather
  • Two side zip pockets on front for essentials—or your hands

Nice jacket.

Nice fit, nice material. Well placed reflective elements. Warm, and can easy go as a cross jacket for skiing. 5, 5, 120 lb, size S. Made in China.

Write your question here...How far down on the waist does this go? I'm a runner who'd like to double up the use of this jacket, not just for cycling, and running requires a lower waistline coverage.

Warm enough for a Colorado winter

I bought the red jacket because when you ride on the road, you really need to be seen. I was disappointed in the color though, because it is orange/red and not true red. It has tiny reflective markings which I like. The more reflection the better.

I was worried I would not be warm enough, but the coat is truely warm. With this and some crazy warm ski gloves and a face mask, I can ride on a cold Colorado day - no problem. The neck does not go very far up, but if I unzip it and I am sitting say inside somewhere, the zipper sticks me under the chin - kind of anoying...but comfortable otherwise.

Unlike the Gore rain coat I have, this has front hand pockets with zippers. There is a back pocket with a zipper, and inside that is a smaller safe pocket for credit cards etc that has velcro. Pockets are nicely placed and large enough. I think they could have put in one more chest pocket for a cell phone too.

Fitting seems ok, but I think they could have tapered it more. Good thing it is long in back, cause it tends to ride up when I am not riding. I wear a large because I am big busted, but I would normally wear a medium coat size. I wear a tshirt and a thermal shirt underneath just to make sure I don't get cold.

Is this jacket washable?

So warm & awesome fit

I love this jacket. I commute about a mile to school and work in the coldish Texas hill country winters and I find it perfect for my needs. I get a little too warm if I have to go up too many crazy hills but It packs down pretty small and fits nicely in my messenger bag. It's impervious to the coldest down-hill winds. It has a super cute & stylish fit also. I'm 5'6", 115 lbs and I went with and XS. The sleeves are nice and long and so is the back.
