Gore Bike Wear Contest SO Women's Tights+ $0.00
We love bibs for their support and smooth wrap along our torsos, but when the weather turns cold, and layers really begin piling up, we find that straps occasionally get a little constricting up top. With this in mind, Gore developed its new Contest SO Women's Tights+ for those who prefer the comfort and support provided through a more traditional tights design.
Gore Contest SO Tights+ were constructed with its WindStopper Soft Shell material. WindStopper is soft, stretchy, breathable, and just as importantly, body-contouring. It fits and breathes like a comfortable mid-layer fabric, yet it provides a level of water- and wind-resistance that approaches the protection afforded by hardshell fabrics. The remaining sections of the tights are made with fleece-backed, polyester/elastane blends that support and insulate your hard-working muscles against the cold. Flatlock seams are also used throughout the tights in order to minimize friction against your skin.
The women's-specific Power Lady chamois rounds out these tights. A workhorse on medium to long rides, the chamois has channeling on top, and a stretchy micro-fiber that wicks moisture away from the body. The seamless design and cushioning properties provide an anatomical fit that keeps your sit bones and soft tissue comfortable for miles in the cold.
These Contest tights also features gripper elastics on the bottom hems to keep the fit secure, as well as reflective-lined ankle zippers. A concealed back zip pocket was also added, keeping your keys and other small valuables safe.
The Gore Bike Wear Contest SO Women's Tights+ are available in the color Black and in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large.

- How to Measure:
- For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
- Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
- Arm Length:
- Measure from the center of your back to your wrist with arms held out.
- Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
- Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
- Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.

As always, Gore is the go-to for nasty weather (besides Giordana & Assos, of course!).
Great wind protection, helping muscles to stay warmer, and your performance better.
Fit is good, no excess 'bagging'; but a almost "diaper" feel...still, not as some other brands.
Length is perfect (I'm 5'6", and the bottoms cover the tops of my shoes).
Zippers on legs snug up nicely. Grips make it all stay in place.
Waist un-restrictive, about the right height.
Chamois: O.K...Gore list the *'Contest' bib-tights (they're aren't currently showing this particular tight right now), as having the *'Contest chamois', though they are listed here as having the 'power' chamois, which is, according to Gore, rated for med. to long rides; the 'Contest' chamois is rated by Gore for short to medium rides...and that would be what I would rate these at, too...
Overall, great for cooler rides; though for really cold/wet rides, you may want to wear Gore's ALP-X 2.0 GT pants over top for added overall protection.
*Still recommend the F.R.C. Tights by Giordana, IF you can find them (and with those, definitely size-up).
View of 'leg-grippers'
Similar to Assos'...
Nice and snug, and absolutely stay in place!
"Windstopper" tech...the "Best-in-Class"
Does just what it says it does. (Don't forget Gore's *Windstopper base tops, too!).
Tiny pocket on the back, for maybe your C.C./I.D.
Another view of these great tights
Kind of wide from behind...but they're for riding, not strolling in the park...making blustery, windy rides more bearable!
Down-side of Gore's shorts/tights...their somewhat large chamois; and not contoured like such brands as Assos or Giordana. These aren't too bad, as some other brands are even larger!
Fairly comfortable (but I still need to change the seat on my bike...so these may work out perfect with a 'ladies seat'!).
(* The bill is shown for a size reference point.)
Blowing Cold...no problem!
Nice tights that really do block the cold wind, so important to keep those muscles warm for best performance; doesn't hurt to have a little comfort, too
Fairly good reflective hits (but not as nice as their Xenon line).
