Great Jacket

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I have had this jacket for 3 years and use it daily during the cooler months. I can layer it and it will keep me warm down to the single digits. The one pocket in the back is hard to access. It has been super durable and if I treat it from time to time with soft-shell waterproofer it keeps the water at bay. I finally ripped it this week in a fall on the ice, I am kind of bummed. Trying to decide if I should buy exact same jacket again.

Perfect Bike Jacket

  • Gender:Male
  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Wanted to start riding sooner this year, need a jacket for 40-45 degree rides and handle the wind. This Gore jacket is great - fits great, blocks wind, looks sharp and has the needed pocket in the back.

Excellent Jacket

It is still summer here in Texas, and will be until November, but that said here goes my review. The Jacket ,like all Gore products, is very well made, but the fit is more Euro than American so be ware. I am 5'10/195lbs and the XXL fits perfect. Usually I wear a large to an extra large. I have never had a bad experiences with any of their products, and I have gotten many seasons out of them so ride happy in any conditions.

    Unanswered Question

I'm looking for a communter jacket for...

I'm looking for a communter jacket for both riding to campus and then walking around campus. I'm torn between this one, the cosmo, and the tool SO. Out of the three, which would be the best as an all around winter jacket? (I live in the mountains of Virginia, so average winter temps are around 40 with pretty heavy winds)

Also, I'm unsure about the gore sizing. I'm 6'2" and 160 lbs with around a 37" chest. I normally wear a M or a L but I was thinking about going with an XL for the extra length. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

looking for a windstopper cycling jacket,...

looking for a windstopper cycling jacket, not too tight, not too lose. tried on the xenon and it was too tight to my body for me. my reg. size would be about an L

Gore bike Wear has 3 different fits for their jackets--tight slim, and comfort. the Xenon Jacket has a tight fit, this one has a slim fit. The Cosmo has similar features with a comfort fit. All the jacket are listed by activity and fit here:
