For the construction of the Contest bib shorts, Gore chose an 80/20 blend of nylon and elastane for the main panels. When combined, the resulting fabric provides effective moisture management and plenty of stretch to keep you feeling unrestricted in the saddle. And, in addition to this, the fabric of the Contest Pixel maintains a consistent airflow through the shorts. So, your core temperature is kept under control during hard efforts. This thermo-regulation is further increased by a mesh panel in the upper-back.

And because your comfort is paramount, Gore employs flatlock stitching throughout these shorts in order to eliminate seam-chafing and to create a closer, next-to-skin fit. Securing this fit, elastic grippers have been placed at the leg openings to prevent any shifting. Additionally, Gore incorporated reflective materials throughout the shorts in order to increase your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions.

Furthering the aforementioned level of comfort, the Contest Man chamois used here has an anatomic design that directs pressure away from sensitive areas. Accordingly, your weight is supported by your sit bones instead of your nerves. Additionally, you'll find that the contoured shape of the insert allows it to move with you as you pedal, instead of bunching and chafing against the skin. Taking this a step further, the Contest Man chamois features a seamless outer-layer that is non-absorbent in order to maintain a dry interface between your skin and the insert.
