Your bibs are going to spend the majority of their days on you and in the cycling position, so it makes sense that GORE Bike Wear made its Contest ¾-Length Bib Tights with a bike-posture-specific fit. This means less uncomfortable crotch and shoulder-strap pulling when you hunker down for a long ride. Pre-shaped knees encourage your pedaling movements and a mesh insert in back helps excess heat escape. The Sport chamois stretches and moves with your body.

You get what you paid for

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I don't have any negative comments, they fit will, and do the job for fall riding. But there is better, for extra comfort this chamois isn't the best, but it is awesome for the price! I can't complain, and will continue to rock them when I feel like persevering the the quality of my nicer knickers.

Go with something better

  • Gender:Male
  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I bought these, as advertised, for cooler weather rides and Gore quality. For me, these 3/4 bibs have been very itchy throughout and very stretchy. These bibs are so elastic and have so much give that the chamois is all over the place, especially when in and out of the saddle and shifting seating positions. I would not rate these for any temps below 55 degrees or for long rides.

Spend the extra couple bucks and go with the Gore Power Line for rides 50 miles or less or Oxygen Line for rides lasting longer.

I am 5'11" 165 pounds and the Large is the right size for these and nearly everything Gore makes.

Decent knickers

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

They fit accurately and have a no frills look. These aren't the best I've worn but for the sale price I paid it's very hard to complain. I wouldn't take these below 50 or 55 degrees. No fleece lining, etc. Again though, fit's very well, chamois is comfortable and no complaints based on price paid!
