Alp-X WindStopper Soft Shell Jacket - Women's

We're fans of hardshells, when they're applicable, but for those day-long rides that require a full range of motion in the saddle, nothing beats the smooth stretch and protection provided from a well-designed softshell. This is why Gore Bike Wear designed its new Alp-X SO Women's Jacket, as the flexible softshell fabric used is ultra-breathable, and it allows your body to regulate its temperature naturally, without trapping heat and moisture against your skin.

The ALP-X SO women's jacket was constructed using Gore's patented WindStopper Soft Shell fabric. WindStopper Soft Shell is soft, stretchy, breathable, and body-contouring. It fits and breathes like a comfortable mid-layer, yet it provides a level of water- and wind-resistance that approaches the protection afforded by a hardshell jacket. Gore Bike Wear gave the ALP-X its signature Slim Fit, which means that it contours to the body in order to ensure aerodynamics and proper moisture management.

Strategically placed stretch panels eliminate binding and add durability. Additionally, the elbows are pre-shaped so that there's no restrictive tugging when you reach for the handlebars. The jacket has a subtle drop tail for full-coverage and to protect the seat of your pants from wheel-spray. It also has a fleece-lined collar to ensure neck comfort, and the zipper is supplied with an underflap and garage to keep it tucked away nicely when the jacket is zipped up. And if you find yourself overheating during hard efforts, you're able to ventilate through two side zips.

The Alp-X jacket has two zip pockets on the front and a single concealed back zip pocket. A drawcord and partially elastic gripper at the waist keep the jacket from riding up. Gore also added thumbholes at the cuffs to keep the sleeves securely in place. Silicone prints were also added at the shoulder panels, while reflective prints adorn the front and rear.

The Gore Bike Wear Alp-X SO Women's Jacket is available in six sizes from X-Small to XX-Large and in the colors Shiraz Red/Thai pink and Waterfall Blue/ice blue.
