They're a must have

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Tripod mounts for a GoPro, in my opinion, are a must have. And these here are great. I have no complaints. If it isn't fitting snug (you feel like it should be able to screw down on the screw a little tighter) just add a washer or two to fill space allowing you to screw down tighter. If you're not mounting your GoPro with tripod mounts, you're missing out on some good mounting.

It works!

The nice thing about a GoPro is your imagination is the limit when it comes to mounting perspectives. I have used these mounts in multiple locations for differing themes. Obviously helps in low light situations where the camera cannot be moved. But it also adds a cool perspective for motion capture. I have used it along trails before for time lapse etc...
Only two real complaints-
1- screw never stays tight when camera is not in, have lost two
2- doesn't get snug enough (on the tripod) for my liking, always seems like it could go one more turn to tighten it up (but that could be my tripod)

nifty bits

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

if you're a photographer, you need these. they let you use manfrotto clamps, other mounts with your gopro and give a sturdy feeling with or without the quick release. I'd recommend the quick release because its awesome to switch from tripod to pov.
