Keep warm

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These batteries will loose some juice if they are not kept warm, make sure you dont leave them in your car overnight.

Second Battery

It does what it's supposed to- it charges up easily and runs your GoPro. Always good to have more than one battery on hand- never know when you're going to want backup. Definitely works with a longer life in warmer temperatures compared to frigid temps.

    3 Stars because it works

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

but for only for around less than an hour, I currently own a 3+ but reading the reviews on the 4 nothing seems to be changed. till they figure out battery issues will never buy a GoPro again. Maybe on the 5 they will fix this.

Saying all this buying another battery,

Good idea to have at least one spare

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you enjoy filming with a GoPro it is DEFINITELY a good idea to have at LEAST one spare battery handy. In this day and age, everyone knows the importance of having the energy to power your gadgets and with GoPro having one just isn't enough if you're going on an excursion somewhere.

    You Need Spares

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you film with a GoPro you already know by now that you will need spare batteries, lots of them if you film in the cold. Luckily GoPro sells spare rechargeable. I make sure to store all the batteries in my chest pocket to keep them as warm as possible. If you are religious about doing this you can rest assured that you will have plenty of battery left. Low rating is due to the fact the batteries have such poor life compared to the competition.

such a such a poor life, if it's around 10s-15s they die quickly

    Great Idea

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I always travel with multiple charged batteries to switch out during the day or during a long travel period where I can't charge. You can never have too many of these full charged batteries in your pockeks or backpack.
