Item # GIR0357

All-day comfort.

The Giro Xena Women's Gloves blend a smooth fit, lightweight feel, and durability into a package that's perfect for all-day, all-mountain riding.

The palms of the gloves were made with soft, durable Clarino synthetic leather. It’s sewn into a three-piece design to fit the natural curve of your hand and prevent bunching when you grip the bars. Since Clarino mimics real leather, it retains the same breathable properties you find in most microfibers to help keep your hands dry. Your palms are one of three contact points your body has with the bike and hold up a significant amount of body weight, which can lead to your hands going numb if they aren't supported. Giro uses Poron XRD padding throughout high-pressure areas on the palms to prevent numbness and keep your hands comfortable.

Though these are full-fingered gloves, Giro didn't overlook the necessity of breathability while riding in warm weather. The Xena gloves have a moisture-wicking, mesh top that stretches with you as you vary your hand position on the bars. The top of the thumbs are finished with a soft, absorbent microfiber so you can wipe perspiration from your face and glasses without scratching them. The gloves sit low on the wrist and use a hook-and-loop closure to secure them.

The Giro Xena Gloves - Women's are available in sizes Small to Large and in the colors Black, Black/silver, Black/red/rhodamine red, Charcoal/dynasty green, Grey/berry, and Tan/brown.

Not the best

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

The velcro keeps coming undone, and there is no padding for the top of the palm so I've developed big callouses. Going back to my previous gloves.

Great for now!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I picked up a pair of these gloves for mountain biking and they have been great so far. The suede palm is a nice thickness, not too padded but still provides protection when landing on your hands (which I have a couple times). The full-fingered glove also provides good protection.

The glove is light and breathable, nice for warmer temps and barely noticeable when you're wearing them.

I ordered a size Medium which worked perfect. I usually wear a Small in snowboard gloves and have larger hands with long fingers. The Medium was a bit tight when I first tried them on but they stretched out perfect after a couple uses.

I've noticed that the fingers are starting to wear out pretty quick. Some small threads are coming out and the mesh is wearing quicker than I would expect. There are no holes yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if they start popping up after a few more uses.

Mine haven't lasted long at all. I've been wearing them 1-3x/week since June and they've had holes in the mesh, tears along the seams (between mesh and suede/leather) for the past month or so. They've been very short lived unfortunately.

Responded on

Oh no! That is what I was afraid of. Do you have a better pair you could recommend for when mine are toast?

Thanks Emily!

Like the Men's Xen, this is an all around great glove at a good price. They are quite durable and the fit is true to size. My wife has used them for over a season and they are still going strong.

I just bought these gloves in a Large, but they seem a bit tight. Will they stretch out as I wear them? Thanks

Best Answer Responded on

These tend to stretch with sweat and heat. A little tight is better than too loose.
