Item # GIR0176

For rippin’ bikers only.

None of us want to feel like we are wearing our ski gloves when we’re riding. You also don’t want to worry about turning your palms into raw meat, so you’ll probably want to get yourself a pair of the Giro Xen Gloves. Giro has gone that extra mile to make sure that you are protected, well ventilated, and feel comfortable to boot. In terms of protection, Giro made use of sonic-welded armor to cover your knuckles, upper fingers, and the top outside portion of the hand. But instead of feeling like you are wearing hand braces, they have interspersed these protective elements with moisture-wicking, breathable mesh. Even on hot days, the Xen Gloves will be airy enough to use. The knuckles have articulated flex zones so you can really get your hands wrapped around the bar. Silicon grip is added at the fingertip as an extra precaution.

Giro uses their Super Fit Engineered palm process to develop the gloves in a way that guides the fit, design, and pattern of every Giro glove for the ultimate in comfort and performance. Essentially, they do this by tailoring the palm, fingers, and padding to conform to various shapes and sizes of hands. By using Clarino, Giro ensures that the Xen palms are durable without being stiff. Unlike real leather, you won’t have to worry about these palms becoming hardened and cracked after you’ve fallen a into puddles or wet leafy areas. The protection doesn’t stop there, though. Giro alsoadded 3mm vented Poron XRD crash pads that wrap around the heel of the hand.

The Giro Xen Gloves come with a wiping surface that will be able to absorb even the runniest of noses. The pull-tab and Velcro closure are effective and unobtrusive. Available in Small through XX-Large, the Xen gloves come in Black/Cyan.

these gloves have been alright i have about 150 miles on them and they are wearing out the tips are ripping. for the price they arent bad but the fox gloves i had lasted longer it seems.

Worth the cash? Many gloves in this class are priced much lower, but the reviews are speakin' to me. Is it worth droppin the $40 on a pair of gloves i could easily go through in a season?

Responded on

maybe. I find them very comfortable but with only a few months use so far the jury is out on durability. If they hold up like Fox gloves then they will be worth the $.

Responded on

i dont find them worth the cash the fox gloves are around the same price and they lasted longer

well vented and good grip

i like these due to the venting on hot days. they also have a great pull tab on the cuff to get them on. good feel to your bike shifters and levers. you can even turn a presta valve screw with them on.

great all around!

I use them every time i get on my bike. road, dirt, whatever, they work great. good protection but great air flow so your hands don't get too hot. highly recommended so get them and enjoy riding even more!

Giro Xen gloves

Finally a lightweight glove for trail riding! I just got these and love the grey tree camo color. Fit was right on; I'm always size large and these fit perfect. Very good ventilation, and the snot wipe so soft I think I could clean my sunglasses with them. I would recommend these for any rider that isn't in to motocross gloves for biking in.

Responded on

they are light and confortable gloves. However they don't last long. The stiching on the palm opened after just 5-7 rides.

Responded on

they are light but they didnt seem to hold up the thim material ripped pretty fast
