Great looking shoes!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small

As others have mentioned, it's narrow, and runs small. Usually I wear an 8-8.5, for example I wear a Nike 8.5 [40] and Dansko [39]; and with these shoes I ordered the 41. It fits perfectly.

Too Small/Narrow. Size up!

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

I'm a size 7.5 and ordered these and a pair of Mantas ( in a 39.

The Mantas fit like a dream, while these squished the ball of my foot. If you decide to order these, size up at least a half or a full size for the right fit.

Great shoe - runs small!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

This is my second pair of mtb cycling shoes and I really like them a lot (was wearing PI X-Alp Enduro II). Feel stiffer, a bit lighter, and overall sleeker. That said, they run incredibly small. I usually wear a size 6.5-7 (would size up so I could fit a thicker sock in the winter) and originally ordered a 38.5, but these were way too small. Tight everywhere - heel, forefoot as well as toebox. I returned them and got the 39.5 which fit a lot better. Still not super roomy, but I'd say order at least a full size up if not 1.5 sizes if you tend to wear heavy socks in cold weather.

Otherwise, they seem really well built, come with a few different footbed insoles so you can customize depending on your foot's arch, and they look great. I searched around for a women's MTB shoe that wasn't clunky, or white/pink/beige/etc. and these totally fit the bill.

Slim Shoe

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I really wanted these to fit...if you have slim feet, these would probably be great. If you have wide feet forget it. I normally wear a 39-39.5, but in these I had to go up to a size 41 to avoid my big toe hitting the end. Even with the larger size they were still bit too snug in the toe box, slipped in the heel, and the extra length made them seem clumsy--not what one wants for cross racing. Had to return them. :-(

Gets the job done

I'm not an expert on bike shoes but compared to other brands this Giro shoe runs normal. I have a wide foot so I'm just about screwed when buying any bike shoe. This one worked for me and the sizing chart was very accurate. This shoe comes with additional arch support inserts that you can change out super easily. This shoe was compatible with my time pedals. (in case you care)

    Good for racing

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is a super lightweight shoe, very comfortable and stiff sole. I am happy that I got this shoe for the upcoming race season, but I will also keep my old shoes around for normal riding. I am not impressed with the "traction lugs" (tread). I've used the shoe twice- once for a practice ride and once for a race. The race did include a very steep 20 minute walk up a hill and now two front tread teeth are pretty much worn through. For the price of the shoe, I would expect the tread to last longer than two rides.

Also, the sizing is wack. I recommend trying on a Giro shoe in person, before buying online. As someone else also mentioned, I'm a 7.5 and normally a 39 for cycling shoes, but had to go all the way up to 40 for these, but I have a bit of wiggle room (which I like for MTB shoes, so I can fit a toe warmer).

Value for money? Eh... I feel like I'm going to have to buy a new pair of shoes in a few months or just continue to use my old ones. I'll keep these for racing only, since they don't seem like they'll survive the 3-4 days of normal riding that I do per week. Recommendation to Giro- if you're going to make a shoe with such a poor tread, then please make the tread replaceable like Sidi.

    Comfortable fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This was my first pair of clipless shoes and I am very impressed with the fit. I was able to try them on in person, so I didn't have a problem with size of the pair I ordered. For a mountain bike shoe though, it doesn't seem extremely durable - it seems to get scuffed fairly easily (got the silver/charcoal version). Hopefully it'll last a while since I only use it on the road.

If you get the right size, it's very comfortable and light and also looks sporty and feminine at the same time. Not clunky at all. I typically wear a size 8 in athletic shoes and size 40 works well for me.

    Sweet Insoles but Runs Small

I LOVE these shoes! Superlight and super comfy! The only problem is they run at least a few sizes to small. Luckily has a sweet return policy so I bought 3 sizes and ended up keeping the largest size. I usually wear a 41.5-42 but I ended up with a 43

    these run small!

I wear a 7.5 shoe and originally ordered the 39. Way too tight, then went to the 39.5, still too tight. I'm not sure if it's worth ordering the 40 or not since I don't understand the sizing.

same here. i tried on the 39 in the store, which were tight, and so i happy i had already ordered the 39.5. the 39.5 felt no different, to the point where im hesitant to order a 40...not sure if those would even be big enough

I have a slim foot and wear a size 8 shoe but ordered the 40. It fits well but I have some slippage in the back. Will try changing the insoles to get a better fit.
