This thing is comforatbel and very light as far as DH helmets go. Fit is perfect, goggles fit nicely with it, and its light.
As good as ever!
Had the regular Remedy for 3 seasons and loved it, but it had seen it's share of tumbles and it was time to get a new one. HNR ran a great sale on the carbon, basically putting it at equal cost of the regular one, so I figured hell, why not, and switched to the carbon.
Nothing but raves. Same excellent fit, great vis, good looks, etc etc etc, only 5 oz lighter. Doesn't sound like much? How about if I said it was over 10% lighter? That sounds like a bigger deal right? Still no? Well, it feels like a big deal. Especially on a gravity bike, where anything that helps you to keep your head still and your eyes fixed on your line unfolding ahead of you helps you ride faster, smoother, and more confident. So, in other words, better. Bonus that at the end of the day there is no stiffness or "whiplashy" feeling in your neck from tying a big ole weight to your noggin all day.
If you liked the old remedy, or are a fan of the Giro fit, and are in need of a new full face lid, then go for it, you won't be disappointed. As with all helmets though, if you haven't tried the Giro fit, get out there and try one on before buying. I love the Giro fit, it works for me, but everybodies head is shaped different, you may do better with Fox, 661, THE, etc etc etc. No way to know for sure which you like most until you try them on.
Fit is first and foremost! You don't want to be uncomfortable, and worse off in the event of a crash, if the helmet doesn't fit right. That being said, if you try it and like the fit, or have liked the Giro fit in the past, by all means go in for this helmet, you will be happy with your purchase for a long time to come!!! Happy Trails out there-
Best helmet ever, so light!

What it the actual weight (lbs) of the Giro Remedy CF? Is it below 2lbs?
perfect fit and looks great
I wear a size 7 baseball hat. I bought the medium in the Titanium Raven helmet. Fits perfect. I love the way it looks. I am happy it is a dark grey color and the accent colors of the Orange are pretty sweet. I am glad that it is so easy to take the padding out. It is all replaceable as well.Overall I can't wait to get out and use it. The people at work are starting to look at me funny when I am wearing it around the office (had it shipped to work)
Awesome & Light
I picked up the previous model year on clearance (like this is now) so I could get CF for a reasonable price. Although I haven't ridden with the other version I would suspect it's totally worth it. The helmet is so light it is hardly noticeable until you hit a big drop and your neck isn't overcome by the weight. I held it up to a friend's helmet and it was a world of difference. The quick release buckle is a nice touch, all around I'm thrilled with this helmet. I'm about two good whacks in and the helmet has taken each one really well (no damage). One of the few things I've bought I've been so happy with.

Being that i wear glasses, I had a lot of trouble finding a helmet that fit perfectly until i found this one. Super snug and comfy fit. Good airflow and non-obstructed view.

Write your question here... did a nasty face plant destroyed the visor, helmet and me are fine. where can I get a new visor?
I don't think that Huck has any replacements but if you shop around on google or check out Giro's page I bet that you could find one.
I did the same .. my local shop had replacement visors but they are just straight up black.
contact Giro directly. i did and they sent me a free visor replacement.
you should buy a new helmet, they are only designed to take one crash, even if you cant see any damage at all, the interior foam that is designed to compress during impact and save your brain may be damaged, if you crash in a similar fashion the foam will not give as it was originally intended and could result in injury.

The others look pretty...
...but only the Giro CF Remedy is worth the cash. Love this hard hat. A lot has to do with fit - I'm lucky, this thing fits me beautifully. And a lot has to do with how light it is, the field of vision and how good it looks. My Remedy and I have spend weeks riding Whistler; me trying to stay on the right side of the bike and the Remedy making sure I'm not FUBAR when I get it wrong. It's a nice partnership
I have had this helmet for over a year now..bought it while I was in Iraq.. kinda warm, but that seems to be the norm for fullfaces. couldn't ask for better visablity and the graphics are sweet...takes a good hit too
Done a couple of good rides with this helmet (CF model). very comfortable fit and great clear view (no blocked peripheral vision) and still have good view of the track. Does get a little warm on hot days when climbing but that is to be expected. I can feel a good airflow through the helmet when riding. Helmet is light and graphics are awesome.

Is this as strong as the non carbon model?
The strength of the carbon vs foam models are really not that much different, you simply save weight (and lose money).
