Go ahead and face-plant. The Giro Remedy Helmet will keep all that expensive dental work well-protected. Giro's Wind-Tunnel ventilation keeps air flowing through the Remedy to keep you cool during hot summer rides, and the removable, washable liner will keep your full-face from becoming the local stink-farm by July.

  • In-mold construction allows Giro to make the helmet light and inexpensive with tons of ventilation options
  • Wind tunnel ventilation combines active outer vents with internal channels to promote airflow around the head and cooling areas that aren't reached using normal venting systems
  • Super-Fit is a fit system based on over 20 years of experience building helmets and is shaped to fit most heads

A Sweet Helmet

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Wanna protect your dome? Wanna protect it in style too? Well here it is, great overall helmet, Iv taken a few falls and its kept my brain in pretty good order. Its pretty light, and after a whole summer of riding doesn't smell either.

Popular helmet for a reason

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

This is a very popular helmet. Your helmet should fit your head. Not all helmets fit the same. For me, and many other people, this helmet is very comfortable and relatively light. It breathes well. Fair price for a really good helmet.

The only real complaint that my friends have made comes from those who wear a Leatt brand neck brace and feel the Remedy doesn't fit with the Leatt as well as Troy Lee and some other brands.

I personally would buy this helmet again and recommend it.

Great for DH Skateboarding

I use this for Donwhill Longboarding. I haven't crashed in it yet, nor has it taken any impacts, but it seems sturdy enough. I had Giro halfshell that kept the back of my head intact in a 35 mph crash on asphalt, and the Remedy has significantly thicker foam so it should be very good protection in a crash. It fits nicely. My head is 57 cm and it fits perfectly. One of the reasons i picked this helmet was the shape of the back. It does not come straight down the back of the head but is angled inward at the base of the neck. This enables better head position when in tuck than other helmets i have tried. The visibility is excellent. FOV is no significantly reduced when wearing the helmet. The vent in the face guard also allows for some vision so that you can glance down at your feet/board without necessarliy having to move your entire head. It is also very light. Lastly, some might not like the clip style chin strap fastener, however, I find it very much preferable to a d-ring strap when wearing gloves. Sunglasses can be worn with this helmet. Buy it. Buy it now.

If you are a downhiller looking for a great, light, stylish, and protective helmet then this is definently for you! i have taken lots of spills and faceplanted hard a couple of times and it was such a face saver!! must have. works awesome with goggles and keeps you cool. also extremely light. buy it and you wont regret it.

    Comfy and Light

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I was surprised when I received this helmet. Backcountry's sizing chart was right on the money and this thing doesn't weight very much. Granted, it's not DOT approved and wouldn't hold up to moto use, but I think it's more than adequate for DH or urban biking. It's not even that hot! I have not tried this dome piece with goggles, but so far, with sunglasses vision is great. I would definitely recommend this helmet!

    Great Helmet

Good price for a great helmet. Fits well, looks great, and does the job.

      great and well ventilated helmet

Second full face that i've ever bought. well worth. recommend it to anyone!!!!

is this helmet multiple hit rated or after a gnarly tumble should it be retired for a new one?

Not rated for multiple gnarly hits. Inspect your helmet regularly for damage. If you are unsure, send it in to be inspected.

        Good Buy

Very happy with my purchase. Good ventilation even on warm days and long rides. When I take my water breaks I take it off to ventilate and cool off my mellon further. I dont wear this with goggles but regular wrap around shades. I use mine for regular/tough XC riding and its my only helmet. It gave me a big confidence boost on the very technical rocky trails i ride here in MD.

Great design but the graphics seem more subdued than the manufacturer image.

my head is around 55 cm which size i choose??

          S M L (51-55cm) (55-59cm) (59-63cm)

My head size was right on the border of medium and large. I chose the medium and the fit was perfect. The helmet should be snug but comfortable. I would try a small first.

          Awesome helmet

My first full face, and has saved my face multiple times. Fits good with my SPY magnetos. Ventilations good, and it's pretty light on your head.

            Great Helmet.

I bought this as my first full face helmet for MTB and I'm very happy with my purchase. It's an awesome helmet and it's totally saved me from getting multiple concussions. My friend also uses the Remedy and I watched him basically land on his head and almost cracked the helmet and he was completely fine. The only thing is that it is a little wide but I'm ok with that. It's still smaller than your typical Moto Helmet and it passes ALL saftey standards for DH. Also my Oakly Crowbars and Oakley Mayham goggles fit perfectly with them.

              Great Helmet.

              Giro Bucket

Fits rather snug (I am in the middle for a medium for the sizing guide) so if you are towards the upper end be careful. Graphics are ok especially considering the price.

                protected my head

my head size is around 58-59 so I was right on the border of M or L size. I went with a M and it was too tight. Returned it for an L and it was looser but not too jiggly. the remedy protected my noggin from a major crash that cracked it but not my skull. I had a concussion, pulled my shoulder, and apparently knocked out for a bit. whee! good helmet. a bit heavy but I'd carry the weight if I know the protection is there.

Are these helmets good for atv/dirt bike riding?

                  Best Answer

Not really.... the helmets on hucknroll are almost always bike specific and are made with different materials and have different ratings, qualifications, etc.
I recommend checking out the link below for good Motor Sports helmets made by a brand that also makes biking helmets. SixSixOne also has some good helmets that qualify for both powered and non powers biking/atving.

Yes these are good helmets for atv/dirt biking, because they are light weight but still offer protection with ventilation. MX and Avt helmets offer more padding inside the helmet are a little heavier but will withstand a harder fall than a mountain bike helmet will.

There's a reason why these are for MTB and not ATV. They are lighter and offer less protection than a Moto or ATV helmet would. Giro does make ATV helmets but this is not one of them.
