New Road Mobility Overshorts - Women's

With rising temperatures come the seasons of outdoor social activities. Markets, fairs, concerts — the temperate weather from April to September are rife with opportunities to pedal to enjoy a bike ride to a seasonal event. While we aren't embarrassed to air our Lycra in public, it can be nice to blend in a bit between bike rides. For outings like these, we opt for the classic, four-pocket design of the Mobility Overshorts from Giro's New Road line, which strike a balance between saddle-bound function and festival-bound anonymity.

The Mobility Overshorts are made from a cotton/synthetic twill that incorporates elastin for a four-way stretch fit. The fabric's polyester elements give it fast drying and wicking properties, and the cotton keeps it soft on your skin and easy on the eyes. No race-day Lycra here. We also like the shorts' high-waisted cut, which takes advantage of the current trend of waistbands creeping up to where they were in the '80s and '90s to provide full coverage in the saddle, even when we're stretched out in the drops. The five-inch inseam is also tailored to keeps gaps to a minimum, so our pedaling motion doesn't reveal more than our cycling prowess.
