Description

Comfort and grip in a high performance glove.

Hands are an often overlooked contact point on the bike. Though we dress our cockpits with the right bars for our shoulder width and wrap them with tape that feels good under our palms, we rarely tend to think of hand coverings as anything more than an afterthought when the weather is warm. This couldn't be further from the truth. Since your hands are one of three contact points on the bike, you want them to stay comfortable and dry. The Giro Monica gloves add the protection you need on your hands during long hours in the saddle.

The palm of the Monica Gloves is made with Pittards leather. Pittards is a soft, durable, washable leather that resists shrinking, drying and cracking like most other leathers. It feels great against the skin, and it sticks to handlebar tape even when wet. The vented leather is cut in a 3-panel design to mimic the natural shape of your hand, so they never bunch under your hands. Medium density, 3mm-thick Technogel cushioning is sewn in high pressure areas on the palm, like over your median nerve, to keep your hands from going numb. Additional padding on the top of your palm and outer palm area evenly distributes pressure to keep your hands comfortable during long rides.

The uppers of the gloves are made with stretchy, moisture-wicking mesh to keep your hands cool and dry. The mesh is sublimated with a filigree design of the same color as the mesh to add some subtle style. The thumbs are finished with microfiber so you can wipe perspiration off your face and glasses without scratching them. The gloves are secured around your wrist with a low-profile, hook-and-loop closure on the top of the hand. Fingertip tear-off pockets on the middle and ring fingers of both gloves make it easier to slip your hands out of them.

The Giro Monica gloves come in Black, White/blue, and Sorrel/silver. They are available in three sizes, Small through Large.

The Women love them!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share

I got these as a gift and they absolutely love them. The support and the overall vibration control is great! For this price you can't go wrong!

You need these

I have tried other women's gloves (Pearl Izumi and Louis Garneau), but these are by far the best gloves I have purchased due to comfort and build quality. I know these gloves will last me for more than a year of hard riding. I like that they have 2 pull tabs on the fingers so they come off easily. They do not hurt my "hand web" and the pittards are incredibly soft and absorb a lot of shock. They're also great for wiping away your snot if your nose runs constantly.

How to wash: I wash them in the washing machine and lay them out to dry. They dry very quickly (within a day usually)
