Item # GIR002N

Comfortable hands on long rides.

Giro's Monaco is the hammer of the Giro glove line and is meant to be rock solid mile after mile. This begins with fit — no matter how well made, gloves are worthless if they don't fit well. Giro's Super Fit Engineering process assures a contoured construction, with a three-part Pittards leather palm that's cut to be precise and bunch-proof, especially at the finger/knuckle junction. The four-way-stretch mesh back is breathable and features tiny pockets at the top ends of the middle and ring fingers to ease removal. A tab on the palm side of the wrist helps make it easier to pull the Monaco Gloves on and a hook-and-loop closure lets you micro-adjust fit.

The palm also features Technogel padding on the heel and outside of the hand, which is subtle and thin, but helps reduce the fatigue and potential numbness caused by the constant pressure of leaning onto the handlebars on long rides. The back of the thumb features a soft, microfiber wiper for your nose or face.

The Monaco Gloves are available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and come in the colors Black/white, Blue/white, Lead/white, and Red/white.

She likes them!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit: True to size

Haven't heard much from the lady regarding these but she had no complaints after her 6hr ride the other day!

Nice for a couple of weeks

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are ok gloves. The padding location is a little strange for a road bike. I've had them about three weeks and they are starting to fall apart.

Responded on

The stitching on my pair is already coming apart at the web/thumb area after only about 4 or 5 rides. They are comfortable but I wouldn't pay full price for them.
