Sharpening up the chambray.

The Long Sleeve Mobility Shirt is Giro's take on the classic chambray button-down. With a hint of stretch built in to the silhouette, as well as a host of subtle features, it seamlessly transitions from the bike to the street with exceptional ease.

Long known for its timeless look and soft feel, chambray was the chosen fabric for the Mobility. But while most chambrays are made solely of cotton, Giro blended in a small amount of Lycra for a bit of stretch. This makeup keeps the shirt moving with you while on the bike without the bunching and pinching common among standard button down shirts. Along these same lines, Giro cut the Mobility slim, which keeps it sleek and close to the body. Slightly longer-than-average sleeves hold the cuffs down at the wrists while extended over the bars, and the drop-tail hem ensures your lower back remains covered while in the seated pedaling position.

While the fit was refined through real-world testing, so too were the finishing details. These include covered front buttons, which serve to both block the wind and add to the overall aesthetics, as well as a hidden chest pocket.

The Giro Mobility Shirt - Long Sleeve - Men's is available in sizes Small through XX-Large and in the colors China Blue and Jet Black.

People love a good stretch.

One of my favorite things about this shirt is the line that runs down along the shoulder blades that has folds of fabric to give you that stretch when getting down in the drops or rallying the 800mm MTB bars. Even though you can tell the shirt is stretching, I still didn't even notice that I was wearing a more formal shirt.

People love a good stretch.

High road? I'll take the New Road.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

Maybe you've decided to get rid of your car and just ride your good ol' trusty bike to work. Or maybe you just want to look good and be comfortable at the same time. Well whatever you are looking to do, this shirt can do it!

The second I put this shirt on, I was worried that I might never actually want to take it off. I couldn't even tell that I was wearing a shirt with a collar and buttons up the front. The New Road Mobility shirt is made with a comfortable material and has some great stretch to it. The cut is nice because you don't feel like you are limited by the shirt and the stretch makes it great for riding bikes.

Some of my favorite things about this shirt are that the front buttons are covered up by the flap of material, that the build of the shirt allows for good movement of the shoulders, and that it still has the front pocket for when you need somewhere to keep your business card.

I've used this shirt while commuting to work on the fixie, exploring on the MTB, and even to dress up with a tie for some extra class. Yeah, this shirt does actually work with a tie.

For those days when you have to give that big presentation at work but you only live life on two wheels, this is the perfect shirt. An awesome shirt from Giro.
