The answer for warm-weather cycling.

Enjoy endless versatility and unheard-of comfort with the Giro Hoxton SF Glove. The Hoxton SF is ideal for all types of warm-weather riding, whether road or mountain. Giro combined odor-fighting merino wool, leather, and Ax Synthetic Suede for unsurpassed comfort and durability.

You'll immediately notice how much better the Hoxton SF Glove feels than your typical, run-of-the-mill cycling gloves. Gloves that bunch and start cutting off the circulation to the fingers are obviously the worst for your hands. So, Giro designed the Hoxton around its Super Fit Engineering process in order to develop the gloves with a guided fit, design, and patterning. What does this mean? Basically, through rigorous research, Giro designed the palm, fingers, and padding to conform to various shapes and sizes of hands.

Leather-palmed gloves were the height of chic back in the day. But after a month or two of heavy use, the leather palms would become so cracked and coarse that they just weren't comfortable anymore. Giro combats this by using Ax Synthetic suede leather for the palms. Ax synthetic doesn't absorb water and then dry out, becoming brittle and coarse–it stays soft and flexible.  This is ideal for applications like mountain biking, where durability and tactile feel are so important.

Giro Hoxton SF Gloves are available in six sizes from XS to XXL and come in Red Heather and Black Heather.

Great warm-weather glove

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I use this glove for all of my warm-weather cycling. It's very thin and not really suitable for cool weather, but this makes it perfect for warm weather. The merino wool is so much more comfortable, and seems more breathable, than the synthetic-fiber gloves I've used in the past. I prefer gloves with little or no padding, and this is it. If you need a glove with padding, look somewhere else. If you're looking for a thin, minimalist, great-looking, comfortable glove, you won't be disappointed with this. I've had them for just a few months, so I can't really comment on durability yet, but so far there haven't been any signs of poor workmanship or materials. I have the red heather and the color is basically the same as it is here.
