Item # GIR002S

Simple and effective.

When you pull on the DND Gloves, you're treating your hands to technical features, expert craftsmanship, and Giro quality. So, how did this enticing level of perfection come into existence? Simple. The DND Super Fit design has evolved with Giro's diverse team of cyclists and engineers on trails all over the world for multiple years.

This latest iteration uses a palm constructed from three pieces of durable Clarino synthetic leather. This ensures that the glove won't end up like unsolicited credit offers when you plant the DND on rocks. But, most importantly, the three Super Fit panels expertly follow your palms' natural contours to eliminate any bunching at the grips, where blood flow and trail feedback are most essential.

The precise theme continues to the back of the hand as well. Here, you'll find a moisture-wicking, four-way stretch mesh. This material is not only breathable, but it's also snug enough to quickly pull away and evaporate moisture without inhibiting circulation. Along the fingers, flex zones at the knuckles ensure shifting and braking happens as fast as neurons fire. Meanwhile, reinforced tips with silicone grippers are hard-wearing for durability, while also ensuring positive engagement with the levers.

The Giro DND Gloves are available in five sizes, from Small to XX-Large, and in the colors Black/charcoal, Black/rad star, Blue Tech, and Bright Green/black, Green Camo/gum, and Lead/gum.

  • Super Fit palm with Clarino synthetic leather
  • Four-way stretch breathable mesh upper
  • 2mm EVA crash padding
  • Reinforced fingertips with silicone printing on braking fingers
  • Flex zones at knuckles

Simple and Bold

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

I have a couple pair of the Giro Dnd Gloves in rotation, and can't thing of anything I don't like about them. I don't expect them to last until 2025, and I don't want them to--fresh gloves are, along with cool socks and riding downhill, a pleasurable part of cycling.

They do run a little small. I wear either Large or Extra-Large in most gloves, and I go for XL in Giro Gloves.

Gift for boyfriend

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

The Giro DND glove is the perfect blend of minimalist design and durability. Love the simplistic wrist cuff - no bulky zippers or velcro. Easy to put on and remove - even under sweaty on-trail conditions. I prefer the simplified plain fabric versions than those with the screen printed designs or textures. Purchased the black version but did not like the ‘harshness’ of the screen print on the top side of the glove - felt like it could be a bit ‘scratchy’ under use.

Fits tru to size - fingers seem a bit long for my hand size however.

Solid, Simple gloves

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

My hand circumference is a bit over 9" and fingertip - palm length is 7.75" - I bought mediums, maybe should have sized up to larges. its a tight squeeze getting them on, once they're on, they fit great. Might loosen up around the wrist after wearing them a bit more. The wrist feels tight to get on, but I would say the gloves themselves fit true to size.

-Leather palm feels great already and will likely get broken in even more with more use. Some gloves feel loose or just not quite right when riding, these don't have that doubt at all.
-Haven't dealt with hot spots on the gloves yet.
-Thumb, pointer, and middle finger have a silicone for braking. Usually only use pointer, but a nice touch.
-Backside of thumb has a soft material that won't rough up nose when wiping it.

- Wrist of the glove is really right to get hands into. That said, I may have wanted to size up to a large, but didn't want excess material once they're on. This isn't helped by the fact that these aren't adjustable, but I wouldn't list that as a con.
- Not exactly smartphone friendly. Can sort of work buttons, but not consistent at all.

- Pretty solid bang-for-your-buck glove. I personally maybe should have sized up to a large, but they fit great once on. I'm happy with them and would recommend them for other people as well.

Very tight

  • Fit: Runs small

This is my 3rd medium size Giro "DND" and I was just surprised how tight it was compared to my last 2 sets. This one was made in Vietnam but my older sets are from China so it's probably the materials that they had used. I just hope that it will break in nicely.

My 4th Pair.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

I use DNDs almost every day for commuting, road riding, and some dirt shredding. Giro labels these as dirt gloves, but they're amazing all-rounders. Whether I'm in the drops, or on risers, I absolutely love the barfeel of the DNDs.

The gloves obviously don't have any velcro, so they look super clean, but that means they take a bit of a beating taking them on and off. I've had some quality issues with the gloves coming unstitched (mainly in the lycra expansion panel). But the feel, looks, and cost keeps me coming back for more pairs in more colors. These gloves fit me fairly snug, so I size up one size from my other Giro gloves.

I love the brighter colors and use them for extra visibility during my commutes during the winter and fall. Despite their lightness, I've found they keep me warm down to the mid to lower 40s, but anything lower than that and I'm struggling to keep warm.

Bottom line: These are winners for whatever bike I'm taking out, in almost every condition.

Rasta Riding

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I'm a fan of Rasta riding gear, I can't help it. The gloves fit well with the pull on cuff and have been comfy with their soft thick fabric. I have used them on a handful of trail rides along with DJ and pump track sessions. So far no issues that others have experienced but as I get more use with them who knows.

Good fit, no issues yet

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

They seem to be holding up after a couple months of trail riding despite the negative reviews from others. Maybe the different colors use different material? I have the olive/yellow. Fit is great, nice and snug on the fingers. Good grip and nice to have the silicone pads.

Great all-arounder

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: M

I purchased these gloves primarily for CX, but I have ended up wearing them on the road quite a bit as well. Warm enough to work for a chilly ride, but not too much heat once it warms up. The palms are well vented and the articulated knuckles on the index and middle fingers definitely make manipulating the brake levers more comfortable.

Look good

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: m

These gloves are sharp looking and fit very well. I purchased the gloves to take backpacking and they were just what I was looking for.

Great Gloves!!!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I have consistently been purchasing these gloves since the first time I tried them, huge fan! The fit is perfect, from finger length to the palm, very snug and comfortable, you don't even realize you are wearing them. They slip on and off with ease and no intrusive strap. Love the cloth part over the thumb to swipe the sweat from my face!! I have washed my gloves at least a dozen times and got over a year of use. I just found a stitch starting to unravel this past week. Time to order another pair!!!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I picked these up in the spring, and have worn them on two or three rides a week this spring and summer. I have had gloves with clarino palms wear out prematurely before (looking at you 661) but these are holding up well for me. The interior or the gloves have no obtrusive seams or uncomfortable spots. The wrists are easy on-and-off and have trim fit without needing a velcro adjustment tab. I wear either Large or Extra-large in most gloves, and find that the Extra-large Giro gloves fit me best.

Sh**ty AF

I bought these gloves like a week ago and after two rides, the Palm material is completely worn out. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the camo color is sick. Don't buy these gloves unless you want to have to ship them back or buy new ones.

    Very comfortable but durability question

I got these only a few months ago and already have a hole in my thumb :-(
Other than that these are very comfortable and give adequate protection for cross-country mtb riding.
There is no wrist closure strap, so the wrist flexes well during use.
Would give 5 stars if more durable!

      No problem with mine !

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had a pair of these for about year, I wear them about twice a week in the winter and they've been washed about 8 times. I always let my gloves air dry. I've had no issues. They fit as expected. I'm a large in most gloves and a large in these is perfect. Wear has been minimal, color fastness has been great. Since they are on sale I'll be buying two more pair. I would highly reccomend them to a friend.

      Buyer Beware

      Gloves after 1 ride

      Buyer Beware

No Joke! Heed Noah's pic! I didn't believe a glove could fall apart like this on one ride so I bought the same pair. My first ride on them (15 Miles) and the palm started to deteriorate; the vent holes stretched out and the leather started to literally deteriorate. The palm material is very thin and I don't feel comfortable hitting the ground in these. Sending mine back.
