Prepare for liftoff.

For over a decade, the Giro Advantage 2 has proven to be the pinnacle of aerodynamic performance, with a rich history of wins at the pro level. Giro relies on wind tunnel data to improve even the smallest of details to shave seconds off your times. Though the smooth, teardrop design of the helmet is what gives you the biggest advantage, the superb fit and ventilation are what continue to make it a top choice year after year. The latest iteration of Advantage 2 helmet uses the same Super Fit Engineering that Giro has created using 'human scale factor' data they have collected over the past 20 years. In short, the three sizes of the Advantage 2. combined with the Roc Loc 5 retention system, make it look and feel like it was custom made for your head.

Custom fit might sound like a pretty big campaign promise, but Giro's development of their Roc Loc 5 Fit System has made it possible to make those micro adjustments. With the Roc Loc system, you can tune the fit tension as well as the fore and aft tilt of the helmet with one hand. Though other helmet manufacturers have similar adjustability systems, none of them can compete with the Roc Loc system in terms of weight: it's almost 40% lighter than comparable systems. In a helmet style not typically known for being light, this is a significant reduction.

Remember those days in the early 2000s when the UCI made it so that aero helmets had to have the same EPS safety foam as the regular road helmets? For those of you who never missed a Lance Chronicle, you'll remember the Giro designers going through all sorts of hell to get an aero helmet ready that would be acceptable to both the UCI and Lance. The Advantage 2 is the love child of that relationship. Through the use of In-Mold construction, the durable but light outer shell is permanently fused to the impact absorbing EPS foam liner. This process enhances the effectiveness of both parts. In fact, the fusion process actually reinforces those formerly vulnerable spots around the vents and ribs.

Keeping your head cool during even the hottest, most critical time trials is something Giro focused a lot of attention on. Their helmets feature the proprietary Wind Tunnel Ventilation System. It is an elaborate design that combines five front vents with exhaust channels leading to the rear. The effect is that the fresh, cool air from the front is strategically channeled around the head to help evaporate sweat, then pushed out the rear exhaust openings. It's a design that you'll appreciate on every ride.

The Giro Advantage 2 comes in three Super Fit sizes: Small, Medium, and Large. It is available in the colors White/silver, Red/black, Matte Blue/black, and Black.
