Time to toss those stinky things out.

If you're not entirely sold on wearing gloves for long, hot rides, but still find your hands and wrists getting punished on rougher roads, you might want to check out the Giordana Versa Glove. This clean, Italian-constructed glove features a lower density EVA padding to dampen road chatter without compromising your tactile feel on the bars. Its low-profile Lycra/Amira leather construction serves as an elegant and classic solution that won't constantly remind you that you're wearing gloves.

The synthetic leather palm contains three separate padded zones: there's one for your thumb, one for your fingers, and one for the heel of your hand. The reason for keeping these separate is twofold -- firstly, your hands are allowed a better contact patch across the bars. And second, a triangular mesh insert in the palm ties all three of the zones together to maximize ventilation, while wicking excess moisture to prevent sweat from pooling against your palms. Two of the sectors are also covered with a gently abrasive material that digs into your bar tape for excellent grip.

The glove back is an elastic nylon/spandex blend, while the thumb is covered with a synthetic terry cloth for wiping your nose. The glove is secured below the wrist with a hook-and-loop strap. A simple pull-tab at the base of the wrist aids in pulling the glove on.

The Giordana Strada Gel Gloves come in Black/white, Blue/white, and Red/white. Sizes run from Small through X-Large.

Good value gloves, know your hand size

I think these gloves are solid, a good value to be sure. I will add they are a "tight" large...I wear large Ruesch ski gloves which have some room and large golf gloves which are snug. These were tighter than the golf gloves, though no reason to change sizes....suggestion merely that if you are on the larger side of large (sic) consider an XL

    Not sewn well - odd

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wore the gloves once. After the ride I noticed that the stitching between the index finder and the middle finger on the right hand glove tore open and created a small hole. Needless to say, I am returning them. I think I will look for another glove. Not sure if I trust these to hold up.

    Nice Gloves....But

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Used the gloves for a few 100 miles. The gloves are made from a nice material. I have used PI and Castelli gloves Size Large and they fit well. These gloves in the Large were almost too small. I really like them but unfortunately I am getting blisters on both of my palms between the two pads. It might be from the stitching on the inside. If it wasn't for that, I would rate them 5 Stars.

    Awesome gloves

I bought these in a large - I'm 5'9", proportional-sized hands. Haven't owned gloves before but am a big fan of these. sweat absorbent back of the hand part is a nice touch
