Giordana Trade Vero Bib Shorts - Men's $0.00
Ready for long hours in the saddle.
The Trade collection from Giordana is the answer to bibs that wear out long before the season is over. This tier of apparel was born from real-world testing of fabrics and prototype designs worn by professional cycling teams around the world. The Trade Vero Men's bibs blend the technology found in the top-tier FormaRed collection with a price that's far more manageable.
Giordana used its patented Moxie fabric for much of the Trade Vero bib shorts' construction. With a nylon/spandex composition weight of 210g/m2, the Vero takes on an effective compressive nature. However, we wouldn't go as far as to call these bib shorts a compression piece. Instead, while assisted blood circulation will help your anaerobic output, we find that Moxie's most vital characteristics involve the inhibiting of muscle oscillation caused by road vibration — a common component to early onset fatigue. Supplementing the Moxie, the printed panels received Giordana's Shield Endurance fabric. This material is slightly more compressive than Moxie and is used for its durability and resistance to fading. Additionally, both materials have been treated in order to accelerate the transfer of moisture away from the skin.
As for the fit, the bib shorts benefit from Giordana's innovative contoured cut. Essentially, the bib shorts are created on a curve in order to conform to your body in the cycling position. By doing this, abrasion is minimized and fabric bunching and pinching are eliminated. To secure this position, Giordana incorporated its Micromesh bib straps and non-slip cuff gripper. The uppers have a controlled stretch that anatomically regulates flexibility and movement. Additionally, this Micromesh is highly-breathable and an efficient transporter of moisture. At the cuffs, the new non-slip gripper design uses a silicone-injected gripper to hold the leg cuffs securely in place. And for further comfort, the entirety of the bib shorts have been constructed with four-needle flatlock stitched seams.
The bib shorts' chamois is one that Giordana touts as being one of the most advanced in the industry — the Nimbo O.F. At the skin layer, the Nimbo utilizes a polyester microfiber to minimize skin irritation and abrasion. Below the skin layer, the Nimbo has a variable-density insert that has been perforated. This aids in ventilation by moving moisture to the perimeter of the chamois where accelerated evaporation is able to occur. Additionally, the insert has been thermo-formed in one piece and features a prostrate relief channel. So, comfort to your sensitive areas is ensured, while the pad's singular formation means that the pad will conform to your movements in the saddle and return to its original shape afterward.
Giordana finished off the bib shorts with an "iPocket" in the back of the uppers for electronic devices, as well as a reflectivity strip on the drive side rear leg for increased visibility to motorists in low-light conditions. The Giordana Trade Vero Bib Shorts - Men's are available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Pinarello Tre Bande Black/ti/white and Pinarello Black/white.

Brutal leg grippers
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Me - 5'9/158/31" waist - Ordered a med which fit well, snug but not overly so. Fabric felt great, good compressive support, straps were perfect length, however the leg grippers set my skin on fire! The band has aggressive stitching above and below the silicone gripper band, and the bottom seam, in particular, created a red line that traveled down below the hem the longer I rode. They were okay for the first ten miles but were nearly unbearable by the end of 45 miles. Sad to have to return them as I really wanted some Pinarello bibs to go with my ROKH. Overall, I liked Giordana's quality and will look for another pair of bibs with a different leg band.
