Team Bib Shorts - Women's

Giordana says that by using real-world testing for its Trade collection, it "benefits from the input of the toughest critics in the sport." The resulting Women's Team Bib Shorts illustrate this development process to the fullest, as they stand as the workhorse of the Giordana line. As such, they receive much of the same technologies found in the top-tier FormaRed collection, but at a much more palatable price.

Giordana used its patented Moxie fabric for the much of the Team bib shorts' construction. With a nylon/spandex composition weight of 210g/m2, the Team takes on an effective compressive nature. However, we wouldn't go as far as to call these bib shorts a compression piece. Instead, while assisted blood circulation will help your anaerobic output, we find that Moxie's most vital characteristics involve the inhibiting of muscle of oscillation from road vibration -- a common component to early onset fatigue. Supplementing the Moxie, the printed panels received Giordana's Shield Endurance fabric. This material is slightly more compressive than Moxie and is used due to its durability and resistance to releasing color. Additionally, both materials have been treated in order to accelerate the transfer of moisture away from the skin. So, you'll be riding dry and controlled, regardless of your exertion level.

As for the fit, the Team Bib Shorts benefit from Giordana's innovative contoured cut. Essentially, the bib shorts are created on a curve in order to clone your body in the cycling position. By doing this, abrasion is minimized and fabric bunching and pinching is eliminated. To secure this position, Giordana incorporated its micromesh bib straps and non-slip cuff gripper. The uppers have a controlled stretch that anatomically regulates flexibility and movement. Additionally, this micromesh is highly-breathable and an efficient transporter of moisture. At the cuffs, the new non-slip gripper design uses a silicone injected gripper to hold the leg cuffs securely in place. And for further comfort, the entirety of the bib shorts have been constructed with four-needle flatlock stitched seams.

The insert of the bibs is Giordana's new Women's Nimbo OF. As part of the OmniForm family, the Nimbo was created in response to consumer's requests for more substantial women's-specific padding in a chamois. The uppermost layer of the Nimbo utilizes a soft polyester microfiber that incorporates a subtle texture to aid in perspiration management. Below this is a layer of expanded memory foam, and then a thick section of perforated open cell padding that's been thermally bonded to the materials above. The bottom layer was cut to protect you at crucial points against the saddle, comfortably contouring to your anatomy. Independent glute panels finish off the chamois, providing maximum flexibility when the body is in motion. Giordana finished of the Team Bib Shorts with an 'iPocket' in the back of the uppers for electronic devices, as well as a reflectivity strip on the drive side rear leg for visibility.
