Giordana Sport Short Sleeve Men's Jersey $149.95
Racing is what you do when there's a number pinned to your jersey. Sport is what you're experiencing the rest of the time. It's good to have a jersey that reflects that mentality. The Giordana Sport Short Sleeve Jersey can be raced in, but it's really designed for what you do on the bike the rest of the time, which, even if you race regularly, is over 90 percent of the time.
The aesthetic is sporty without being racy. This goes for everything, from the cut, to the materials, to the design. The cut is Giordana's Giro cut, which is very close without being tight. With this in mind, Giordana made sure to leave the sleeve hems without elastic or grippers, but put in a light gripper elastic at the waist. The main body material is new for Giordana, VX-2. Vapor X-change 2 is hydrophobic on the inside, hydrophilic on the outside with a net-like structure to keep the much of the material off the skin. The material is soft to the touch and almost airy to wear. VX-2 comprises everything but the wraparound chest panel and collar lining. That is another new material, Gi27. It is super-soft, great at wicking because of both the polyester fiber mix and the finishing treatment, and it's also great at keeping its color through long days in the sun and repeated cycles in the washer.
Because the jersey is calling on classic style elements, Giordana finished it with several classic touches. One is embroidered patches that you'll find on the left side of the chest and the right sleeve. The chest patch is their G aegis. The right sleeve reads 79, a reference to 1979, the year Giordana started. In the back, you'll find a Giordana Sport script on the slightly beveled right pocket. Above it is a color accent that ties into a color on the chest panel. The finishing touch is a retro-inspired Giordana label sewn to the inside of the front waist hem.
The Giordana Sport Short Sleeve Jersey comes in Black/blue/red, Black/yellow/beige, Red/blue/red, and White/Italia. The zipper is reversed and the pull is a camlock. There is a reflective tab on the left side by the pockets. Sizes run from X-Small to XX-Large.

My MTB Jersey
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Dig the styling on these. I tend to favor these over my nicer/more expensive FRC jerseys when going on XC MTB adventures. Just a little more room without being baggy. Nice material that's proven pretty dang durable.
