Giordana SottoZero Shoe Cover $39.95
For Mother Nature's worst.
Giordana designed the SottoZero Shoecover for the serious winter road cyclist. Below-zero temperatures can sap your strength as you body struggles to stay warm. Unfortunately, your hands and feet are the most susceptible. The SottoZero's neoprene construction insulates and fights off the wind to give your foot full protection.

- How to Measure:
- Use your shoe size to find your sock size.
- Measure the circumference of your hand around the widest part of the palm not including the thumb, just below the base of the fingers. Giordana gloves are race style, if you have "fat" hands you may want to size up.

Great fit, excellent loft, NOT Italian
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I purchased these under the impression that all Giordana garments are made in Italy.
I was so disappointed to see the "Made In China" sticker. That said, the initial quality for the price point makes them a fair exchange.
Ordered the XL for 44.5 Sidi Dragon SRS mountain shoe and it is nice and snug as it should be. I would NOT go down to a Large to mitigate the chance of zipper failure.
Fantastic soft fleece loft inside the neoprene. Heavy duty toe rubber for longevity and perhaps the BEST reflective accents I have ever seen on an cold weather bootie. The rear strip and heel cap are very bright in lights and if your weather is such that you require these booties, chances are you will want every driver to see you at distance from behind.
A+ on fit, warmth and safety accents while still maintaining a very sleek package for a winter bootie. As always, excellent service from Competitive Cyclist.
Nice shoe cover
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
These neoprene shoe covers have a fleece like lining and fit like a glove. Some reviews complain about the zipper but I think the key is to take your time putting them on to carefully stretch them around your shoes before zipping them up. They are not like lycra stretchy covers but require work to mold them to your shoe because they fit very close. They are warm below 32 but not hot at 50 degrees. They are very durable.
Not a good zipper
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Used twice last year and now the zipper is broken
Used less than 10 times and the zipper is broken...Expensive piece of garbage.
Not for me!
I Like the style and fit over shoe is great as well as keep your feet warm. The only thing is that they really dig into your ankle. They gave me blisters on the back of my heel. my recommendation would be to go with a neoprene cover with out a zipper. My husband sware's by the Castelli Diluvio!

How well do these shoe covers keep the rain out?
Are they very tight around the ankle to stop rain running down the legs into the socks?
How high up the leg to they go?

I wear a size 44 bike shoe, what size of cover works best for this shoe size?
Sorry about the funky size chart!
The sizing is (per euro shoe size):
I wear a size 44 shimano shoe and bought the size XL SottoZero which seems to fit perfectly. It has a little room for sure, but I think a size large would be totally tight. I'm happy with the XL
I wear a 45 in Northwaves... the Large is waaaay too small. the zippers popped halfway through the first ride and now I need to have them repaired...
