Riding gear designed specifically for those times of the year when the riding is The best.

The Giordana Silverline Women's Knickers are intended to work for the active woman who wants quality protection, comfort, and value in her cycling knickers. Like the Silverline Women's Shorts, these knickers use Nilo fabric that is soft, silky, and offers excellent moisture transfer.

These knickers will suit you either for an early morning September spin around the park, or an evening spinning class at your local gym. They feature a roll top waist so that you can extend it all the way if you want a little more coverage up the small of your back, or roll it down if you are sweating through a spin class and need a little more ventilation. The knickers hit just above the calf, so your knees will be protected, but enough of your leg is exposed so that you will not overheat. If you do wear these while riding outside, reflective piping has been included throughout the knickers' seams so that you will be more visible to cars.

The knickers come with Giordana's WMC-3 or MS-Mini insert which is designed to give you a lot of comfort without adding bulk. It's perfect for anyone from a pro in training to a beginner in her first chamois. The Giordana Silverline Women's Knickers are available in Black and come in sizes X-Small through X-Large.

  • Made from Nylo, a Lycra fabric ideally suited for the transitional seasons and indoor use
  • Above-the-calf cut protects the knee without full leg coverage
  • Roll-top adjustable waistband can be adjusted to a comfortable height
  • Ample reflective piping and logos increase drivers’ ability to see you

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share

I bought these for me mum for winter riding. She's absolutely in love with them. They provide great warmth and breathe really well, they are also very comfortable she says. She joked about wearing them around the house as a casual piece. Weird woman

Does anyone know how these cycling pants run...size-wise? I'm 5'6" and 125 lbs

Responded on

it's really about your waist 26" and above small. hope it helps

While the chart shows you to be a 'M', I recommend you go up a size (this is usually true in all the European brands). Especially true for the FR-C, Castelli body paint, Corsa SuperLeggera, or any other item that says "race-fit".
The *Silverline Giordana is a bit more forgiving, but in no way baggy, for the average rider, and for more casual riding. It is very comfortable, and still has an excellent fit. Hope this can still help any others, too!

Do you know the difference in length between the mini and regular silverline knicker?

Responded on

Mini doesn't refer to the length - it refers to the padding.
There are 2 types of pads available for these knickers -
the mini is more of a triathlon pad; the WMC3 is a thick pad.

I tried both on, and the WMC3 is very bulky. They use the same size WMC3 pad for all sizes, so if you're a Small, you'll have a big pad in your shorts. It looks bulky from behind. I opted for the Mini instead.

Best to base your decisions on length/type of riding you'll be doing...don't worry about what it may look like from behind...after all, you'll be spending most, if not all of your time on the bike!
That's why some of the top notch bike apparel will even mention that while standing, the back of the jerseys/tights, or shorts, may look a bit saggy, but will "click" into place once on board. *Assos is a perfect example.
