Flattering fashion for frozen rides.

When you head out to ride in the winter months the last thing you want to worry about is "did I put on enough layers"? The Giordana Women's Silverline Jacket ensures that you have three layers the moment you step out the door. It'll leave you wondering why you ever wore any other jacket?

The body of the jacket is comprised primarily from durable Corsa fabric. This three-layer fabric uses a soft fleece interior for comfort next to the body. An inner layer of WindTex fabric protects from wind and water yet allows water vapor to move away from the body to prevent overheating. A smooth outermost layer also offers wind protection and resists snags and pulls. It was treated with a DWR (Durable Water Resistant) coating. Soft, stretchy Super Roubaix fabric was used in the underarm and back left and right panels. The stretch from this insulating fabric allows the jacket to be worn close to the body and still provide unrestricted movement. Engineered using Giordana's Women's Contour Fit process, the jacket conforms to your body position while riding. It is roomy enough to fit over a jersey and base layer, but never baggy.

To store all of your winter riding essentials, the Silverline features three full back pockets. Reflective logos on the front and rear, as well as reflective strips along the three back pockets provide visibility on the road. The neckline is slightly higher than that of the Silverline jersey to block out drafts and a drop-tail hem provides full coverage.

The Giordana Silverline Women's Jacket is available in White/Black Purple, Purple/Black White, and Aqua/Black White and in sizes X-Small to X-Large.

Great Jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

The Silverline Jacket is a versatile jacket made for rides at cooler temps (54 degrees and below) I've worn it on cool morning rides with just a short sleeve jersey underneath and found it quite comfortable. Wore it during a driving rain and it was water repellent. I am between a medium and large - the large fits nicely with room for layers. Can't wait for a real cold day to test it out.

If you like a really snug fit and are between sizes, might find the smaller size suitable.

Love this

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

There is nothing I hate more than being cold, this jacket solves the problem. Its comfortable and makes cold weather riding a joy!

I would buy this jacket again

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XL

One of those gear things that I just loved instantly is this jacket. If you spend your time doing winter riding cross country or road, you cannot go wrong with this jacket. I normally wear M or L size clothing so I would think this in cycling world XL is an okay size, but I labeled as runs small.

more than meets the eye

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My initial reaction to this $250 jacket was, "I paid $250 for this? There's nothing to it. No way it's going to keep me warm." I put my faith in technology and the tech support guy at Competitive Cyclist who told me it was warm and tested it out. 16 degrees F, -4 degrees F with wind chill, 27 mph steady winds, 40 mph gusts. My face and forehead experienced brain freeze, my toes and hands were cold by the time I got back. My torso was plenty warm. The wind didn't penetrate the jacket. I also wore a short sleeve base layer, Pearl Izumi base layer long sleeve, and a wool jersey. I'm also someone who's always cold. Great jacket!

Pretty Nice...

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

But, in comparison, can't hold a candle to the FRC line. But for intermediate weather (or budget constraints), it is still LY ahead of most other brands.

Not as warm/wind proof; lacks material backing behind zipper. Fit is more generous, and better for 'fuller-figured' riders (but not huge or sloppy...not plus sized, just mature, curvy figured sized). While it has a more 'comfortable fit, you may still want to size up...this way you can still layer.

I wear this on late Spring/early Fall rides
