Giordana Silverline Men's Bib Shorts $0.00
Look for the Silverlin-ing.
Giordana's Silverline clothing hits the price-conscious consumer right in the breadbasket. The comfort and performance perks these bib shorts offer makes the Giordana Silverline Bib Shorts a favorite of the smart shopper. You'll find that they're less than half the price of many other bib shorts that have barely as much to recommend themselves. With an understated personality and neutral colors, these bibs have been designed to pair perfectly with any one of the Silverline jerseys; for that matter, they're a perfect complement for any other Giordana jersey or otherwise.
The Silverline Bibs are made from a Power Lycra called Zaffiro, which is an innovative fabric that is manufactured using a multifilament polyamide. That means it is highly compact and dense. Most importantly, its weave offers a balanced multi-directional elasticity which aids in the riders power output and offers amazing durability. It will stretch and move with you, avoiding any uncomfortable crumpling or tugging. Rather, the fabric hugs and supports your muscles during exercise. The Core Contour System has been trickled down from Giordana's more expensive shorts and has been modified to support the needs and requirements of these bibs. They move with you without feeling like a corset. The mesh material wraps the waist with ergonomically designed inserts which are intended to eliminate bunching in the riding position. The mesh obviously provides ample ventilation which aids in keeping you cool during hot, intense rides. The micromesh also wicks moisture away from your torso which will help keep you cool and dry.
The panels are all ergonomically cut to move with you. Soft double lycra cuffs mean that these bibs have removed the necessity of having the invariably irritating leg-grippers. Rather the cuffs keep a seamless comfortable hold of your leg without giving you one second of irritation. The reflective strips on the back of the leg will also aid in keeping you safer in low level lighting situations.
The chamois is Giordana's Nimbo OmniForm insert which has been designed to contour to the body in motion, though it returns to its original shape after every ride. The OmniForm family of inserts is made by Giordana at their Italian factories. OmniForm pads are formed without using intense heat, which can damage materials and compromise fabric attributes.
The Giordana Silverline Bib Shorts come in Black/black and Black/white. They are available in Small through XX-Large.

What community has to say
giordana silverline men's bib shorts
Great value. Excellent fit and more rear end padding than I expected from the OmniForm pad. Will get another pair soon.
Fantastic fit and support. Great chamois. Fits a lot like my Capo bibshorts. Great for warm weather.
Chafes - pad to wide
Great shorts (great value, especially on sale). But, the pad is to wide (where it should be narrow) so it bunches up between my legs and chafes. Everything elses is great.
Solid for the price
These are the best shorts I've ridden in this price range. The inseam is slightly shorter (~1cm) than my other shorts and chamois is not quite as good as the top end shorts, but is more than enough for most rides. Size small fits well at 5'7", 135 lbs.
Only bothersome piece is the tag, which is large and right in the middle of your lower back. It can itch from time to time.
Giordana Silverline Bib Shorts
I have several older pair of Silverline Bib's which needed replaced. The old Bib's were great. Performed nicely, reasonably priced and absolutely no chafing. I ordered a couple of pair of new Silverline bibs with the nimbo omniform chamois. This chamois chafes and can't be used for anything other than short rides even if you slather on the Chamois Buttr.
I've been riding Giordana bibs for years, club sponsored kit. Wanted a pair of plain black but these are made differently than what I currently own. There is something going on with the placement of the chamois or the chamois itself, because these are not like other Giordana shorts. After a few rides I just couldn't be comfortable with these. I'm not a big guy and can usually wear either a medium or a large. I got these in a large and still did not feel comfortable on the insides of my thighs - like they were too tight, which I never have even with my size medium club bibs from Giordana.
Odd Fit, Good Quality
First of all, these are good quality bibs. The chamois is excellent, comparable to the best out there. The lack of leg grippers is nice, the fabric is good quality, I'm pleased with that department.
Fit wise, these run pretty small. I'm borderline small/medium in most bib, and the medium in this barely stretches onto me. It's so small that the white/black border is right at the lower edge of most of my jerseys, which looks kinda weird if the jersey rides up. I'm not really sure why they went with the white material for the upper, black would have looked better. In addition, the weird stitch pattern on the front of the groin makes you look like you're wearing black women's underwear over your bibs. I know, that sounds weird, but trust me, it really does. Also, the shoulder straps are narrower than I would like; I prefer the big wide ones like Hincapie has. These don't quite dig into my shoulder, but they're not as comfortable.
Great bibs for the price
I have 2 pairs of Castelli bibs that retailed for $200 and I prefer the Silverline bibs to the Castelli. They have a really great chamois with sufficient padding. I also like that they don't have leg grippers but still don't ride up.
Update: I ended up returning these because on rides over 35 miles I would get really chafed. I have a few buddies that these work perfectly for but they just didn't fit quite right.
