Somewhere between twilight picnics in the last rays of summer sun and the color-watching amazement of morning rides, winter seems to cleverly slip right in. Before you know it, chilled knees and popsicle-toes are no longer cured by adding an extra pair of socks and knee warmers. Don't let the weather affect your training schedule or your commute -- get your legs into a pair of Giordana Fusion Bib Tights. Made for warmth, durability, and a flawless fit, the Fusion Bib Tights leave room in your winter budget for fenders and knobbies.

The first thing that you'll notice about the Fusion Bib Tights is the way that they stretch. Made to curve with your body when you're in the saddle, the bib straps and chamois position will move into place when you get on your bike. Constructed from Giordana's Super Roubaix microfiber, the tights have an exceptional stretch while retaining their shape after hours of riding. To keep yours muscles from chilling, the Super Roubaix fabric is made with an interlocking brushed knit on the inside. This brushed layer is soft against the skin, and it retains heat due to the high loft of the fabric. Super Roubaix is also highly breathable and has exceptional moisture wicking properties to keep you dry.

For heightened breathability through the bib straps, PowerNet Mesh has been used. This eliminates an extra layer of fabric while permitting a better moisture transfer. To keep air from sneaking in, ankle zippers secure the cuff of the tights close to your legs. Reflective strips have also been added on the ankles and knees for an element of visibility in low-light conditions.

Sure, the Fusion bib tights are warm in cool weather, but it's the Nimbo O.F. chamois that'll keep you comfortable through your base miles. The Nimbo O.F. has the most substantial padding volume in the Giordana line, with a varied density layer ranging from 4-13mm. The top layer of the chamois uses a polyester microfiber, with a subtle square shape texture, to aid in ventilation. The seamless, multi-layer foam construction puts memory foam and 10 mm open cell padding in areas that need the most support --under your sit bones. For the perineal region, the chamois' density has been thinned out. And to minimize abrasion and discomfort, all of the layers are brought together in a low heat process that eliminates hard edges.

The Giordana Fusion Bib Tights are available in the color Black and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large.

Warm and Cozy

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Comfortable, warm and cozy for a fall/winter bib, without a Forma Red Carbon budget.

Nimbo OmniForm chamois is absolutely fantastic, you'll hardly need chamois creme.

Super Roubaix keeps you plenty warm, but in a freezing wind it's not the absolute best option. Good, but for wind protection I'd look to the Forma Red Carbon if you can swing it. Good value bib tight.
