Why We Like The Index S2 Smart Scale
Whether you're training for a tri, making a commitment to getting healthy, or just working on getting ready for summer, Garmin's Index Smart Scale makes sticking to your plan a whole lot easier. It does all the classic scale things: weighing in pounds, kilograms, and even stone. It also tracks body mass index, body fat percentage, bone mass, and skeletal muscle mass, all of which are important data points for high-level athletes. The Index can recognize and remember up to 16 different users, and of course it can sync to Garmin Connect, the online platform that lets you track and analyze all your workout data, so you can see exactly how your workouts correspond to your goals.

Pair Daily
I bought this scale back in December and it worked great for about a month. Now I have to add it to my Connect app every single time I want to use it. Love the data, hate that it gets dumped from my app every single week.

Great Scale
We bought this scale and are super pleased with it. Fairly simple to use, and links data to the Connect App with no issues thus far.

Good for weight, other metrics are unreliable
I bought this to replace an old index that died. I think the weight is a little more precise than gen 1. Accuracy is good enough. The non-weight metrics (bodyfat, water, muscle, and bone) are just derived from height and weight. They should either not be included or you should have the option to turn them off. The scale is way overpriced for just weight, but it is easy to integrate with the connect app.

Nice Add-On to your training ecosystem.
It is just so easy to use. You just set up your scale on your Garmin Connect app and that's pretty much it. Then you jump up and all your metrics will be uploaded automatically to your Garmin Connect app and the rest of your training apps. I found this an easier way to just jump on and forget. I used to have other scales, but this is nice just because of that. If you don't mind to have all your data sync this might find some cheaper options.

Difficult to active scale
It requires several attempts each morning to “wake up” the scale. Extremely annoying. Most time I have to bend over and lift the scale off the hard wood floor before it activates. Also, the screen diaplay is not crisp. Im left with the impression it has missed several generation of screen pixel advancements. I’m retuning it.

Love the auto upload to Garmin Connect
I really like the scale especially for the auto upload to Garmin Connect however; there are many times it is difficult to turn on. The instructions say to tap the scale with your foot to activate but most times we have to literally have to physically move the scale to wake it up. I also like the way it automatically knows which one of us is using the scale by the difference of our weight but I wonder how it would work if both of us had a very similar weight.

Perfect scale.
I recently bought this scale and honestly se folks gave poor reviews mainly due to the price. I can say that yes it os on the pricey side but al the features it offers makes it worth the price It os nice that it synces with the ap and pairs well withy garmin watch as well.
